[Archived] Most Annoying Football Pundit

Maybe the mods could turn this into a Poll? Make sure you put Andy Gray in the list though because I cant stand the big club kiss ass

I see that Fergie has turned on his favourate patsy Geoff Shreeves. Apparently he didn't like an interview he conducted with Ronaldo and let him know in no uncertain terms, unleashing a four letter tirade before storming out of a press conference. All of which was recorded by the BBC's Ivan Gaskell! I've been trying to find audio on Google and Yahoo with no luck and utube appears to be down.

It would appear that Whiskey Nose has now fallen out with Sky as well as the BBC meaning we dont have to listen to the obnoxious, hypocritical bully anymore.

Bright's annoying just because of his voice. I don't have a problem with Wright, I think he makes everything a bit more interesting and has the odd good point. He's not amazing but I certainly don't dislike him. Why is he on? Is it because he's black or because he was one of the best English strikers of his generation and knows a thing or two about the game?

I dislike the pair of them. Selhurst Park, May 1989. Say no more.

I miss listening to Jimmy Armfield, Ron Davies, Alan Green, all of the guys who used to be on Radio 2 (and then Radio 5), I miss all that stuck in Germany. I could even listen to teh golf on radio 2 and

As for pundits I don't like, Ian Wright is a bit of a prune, but I can stand him. But most of teh pundits are useless, and Mark Lawrenson especially talks a load of old waffle and doesn't liek us.

Locally, all at Radio Di....sorry Lancs, apart from Richard Dinnis - closet Dingles.

On the flip side I quite like Nigel "FAVOURATE TIME OF THE WEEK!!" Pearson on Talksport. Knowledgable, enthusiastic and one of the few on there that dosn't slag off Rovers.

"Unbelievable" that no-one's brought up Chris Kamara yet....

Always entertaining at least ... :tu:

Jonathan Pearce has come a long , long way since his early contrived broadcasts and is about the best around .

Motson is quite simply the worst commentator of any sport and more or less ruins any game he "works" on . How he could learn from the great retired Barry Davies on letting the game be seen without all the superfluous inane comments .

Ian Wright is as incoherent as he is immature ....but at least he was a decent player who is passionate about the English game . He also has a very nice colour of skin ....

Don't subscribe to Sky but from what I have seen Andy Gray is the best analyst by far.

Agreed, but I hate the way he growls through the replays.

Just an aside, but does anyone think they re-record parts of the commentary following a game for things like 'match choice' ? I've often heard telling comments a few minutes prior to action on the pitch.

During the Spurs - Chelsea match they were suggesting that Shevchenko would come good after finding the premiership hard to adapt to, and that sooner than later he would produce something special etc etc. Minutes later he scores a fantastic goal.

That happens every week on MoTD Scouse.

Pitches up on BBC Radio from time to time.

Believe he was involved in a young boy/Cinema indescretion a few years back?

Indeed he was. Apparently he was caught "red handed" in a gay porn cinema when a fire broke out.....alledgedly.

Anyone think that Mark Bright is possibly the best commentator/pundit? Clearly knows what hes talking about technically, doesnt fake his enthusiasm ( Motson ) nd and is critical when he need be. Plus he was loving Derbyshire in the Luton game and constantly praising.

Worst - Gabriel Clarke, utter ponce.
