colin Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 OK, Which current Premiership player has seen more of his managers sacked/departed than any other. Clue: (and it's a big one) he's in blue & white.
Ricky Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 A football team once scored 3 goals without the other team touching the ball. How? 397032 Was it Scotland against the Faroe Islands or someone like that. I remember them playing someone and they didn't turn up.
Jim J Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 This sounds impossible, please put us out of our misery by the end of the day.
philipl Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 You score with the last kick of the first half. Your turn to kick off second half and score from that move. But I don't know how the third happens...
Ricky Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I'm sure scotland got awarded a 3-0 in the game that the opposition didn't turn up in. Surely that would be the answer.
pleasure Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Was it Scotland against the Faroe Islands or someone like that. I remember them playing someone and they didn't turn up. 397154 estonia. you're right tho.
Eddie Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 He's already ruled that out. I'm thinking it has to be a situation where teams are scoring own goals. There doesn't seem to be any other way. I know there have been stuations in which teams have intentionally scored own goals. It doesn't really seem to make sense though, please put us out of our misery.

Surely that would be the answer. 397164 If you mean the one in the France '98 qualifiers, we weren't awarded the victory (although there was talk of it). The game was replayed at a neutral venue.
Tango Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Surely even if one team scored 3 own goals, the other would have to touch the ball from kick off?
hynot Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 How about this? Just before half time you score an own goal. Then kick-off and score without the other team touching the ball. Immediately the ref blows for half time. You then kick-off to start the 2nd half.
DP Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Bluebirds....Cardiff Swans.....Swansea Canaries....Norwich Robins......Swindon Magpies......Newcastle Owls......Sheffield Wednesday Seagulls......Brighton Eagles.....Palace 396974 Aren't Leeds also known as the Peacocks?
hynot Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Since when do you kick off after scoring a goal? 397220 After an own goal.
bodrum_blue Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Score an own goal so you kick off and score - ref blows for half time - you kick off 2nd half and score. You have scored 3 goals and other team hasnt touched the ball!! Simple.
AggyBlue Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Nah, it's table football, playing against my missus, it's easily done
Eddie Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Score an own goal so you kick off and score - ref blows for half time - you kick off 2nd half and score. You have scored 3 goals and other team hasnt touched the ball!! Simple. 397238 a) when did this actually happen? why do you need the ref to blow for halftime? you could just score as many own goals as you wanted without them touching the ball.
The Dart Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 why do you need the ref to blow for halftime? you could just score as many own goals as you wanted without them touching the ball. 397271 You could score a 100 goals that way true enough.
colin Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Dickov? 397115 You need a life Eddie "In 1996, miniature Arsenal striker Paul Dickov decided he'd had enough of the managerial turmoil at Highbury (three managers in the previous 18 months: George Graham, Bruce Rioch and Stewart Houston) and jumped ship to Manchester City. There he managed to play under a variety of bosses as the managerial reins went through a further four pairs of hands before the end of the calendar year (Alan Ball, Steve Coppell, Phil Neal and Frank Clark)." Once Clark went in 1998, Dickov only saw one more outgoing manager at Maine Road - Joe Royle, in 2001 - before heading to Leicester the following year. Once there he saw the back of Dave Bassett, before switching his charms to Blackburn, where bothGraeme Souness and Tony Parkes have left during his stay. That leaves the Scot with 11 departed managers during his career, Mark Hughes, you have been warned ...
