Here's a few questions:

Who is Edson Arantes de Nascimento?

Who was sacked by Juventus in 1990 after they won the UEFA cup and the Italian Cup?

Which 3 countries have hosted the World Cup on more than one occasion?

What does P.S.V stand for?

What does the Spansih word Real stand for?

In Italian football the winner of Serie A is said to win the Scudetto. What exactly is

the Scudetto?

Which Country has teams called Young Boys and Old Boys?

Which team is closest to the River Mersey?

1. Pele

2. Dino Zoff

3. This is a guess, but Italy, Germany (including this time) and France.

4. Philips Sport Vereniging

5. Royal

6. Well, it means shield, because it's the coat of arms and they win the right to have that put onto their uniforms.

7. I know there's a Young Boys in Switzerland, not sure about Old boys. Guess would be Switzerland, Belgium, Holland or just as a longshot, South Africa. I've really narrowed it down.

8. Again not sure, but I want to say Tranmere.

These two are the wrong answers i'm afraid!

Italy and France are correct, but It does not include Germany this time!

I think there were 4 cities in Europe who had 2 teams who have been to a European Cop/Champions League semi-final, there are now 5 after leat week. Can anyone name the 5 cities?

London, Milan, Madrid, Liverpool and Bucharest?

397645

London is the new one and Madrid and Milan are right. The other 2 are a bit more difficult.

Posted

You are right McClarky, but with London now being added there are six.

Glasgow, Moscow and Dundee are the other three.

Moscow's inclusion is a bit different. Back in 1993 the semi-final was played as a group stage rather than four teams going into two, but as it was the round before the final it technically counts.

Here's a few questions:

Who was Britain's first £2 million pound player? - Mark Hughes

Which team in the British first class leagues has the longest name? - Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Which team is closest to the River Mersey? Yep, definitely Stockport

i thought britain's first 2million quid player was gary pallister, when urinal signed him from boro, all those years ago??

what year was it that hughesy became the first 2 million player??

397933

I think its a bit of a trick question because it was when he went to Barcelona.

Still technically Britains first 2 million player..... i think

PS It was 1986!! Pallister was signed in 1989 apparently.

QUOTE(Ciren Rover @ Apr 5 2006, 18:09 )

Who has scored for Blackburn, Spurs, Rangers, and Hearts?

Eddie answered

Does this include own goals? Then it could be someone like Hendry.

That has been the only answer provided and it may very well be correct as I can't come up with anyone who has played for all those 4 clubs in his career.Any other board members ready to weigh in with an answer?

Posted

I have no idea whatsoever. I can't for the life of me think of anyone who has played for all four and I'm sure Hendry must have scored goals or own goals at his other clubs so I'm sure I'm wrong.
