Ste B Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Bloody made up language. They only speak it when the English are around. Oh and Higgins to win it. Almost a good call, looks like Selby could be pulling off a massive comeback. Going to be a late night.

ihateburnley Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 --> QUOTE(Ste B @ May 7 2007, 22:32 ) 511069[/snapback] Almost a good call, looks like Selby could be pulling off a massive comeback. Going to be a late night. Snooker is a lot more interesting when you put fiver a frame on Selby to win at Evens and he wins about seven on the trot! Thanks Mark!
American Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Hope he didn't put too much on it. Selby gave it away on Sunday night.
Exiled_Rover Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Higgins has finally won his second World Championship - about time too. He tried his best to throw it away mind.
youandwhosearmy Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Does anyone else think that Higgins looks like hes have a really difficult time having a poo when taking a shot? Heart attack before hes 40 if you ask me
Presty On Tour Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 anyone watching the masters final? looks pretty done and dusted unless selby gets the world famous clinchers disease!
Exiled_Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Selby played very well in the final, though he struggled to get there in the first place. It's a really wide open sport, which is novel.
American Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Anyone watch the semi-final of the British Championships? What a perfect score by O'Sullivan to win it.
Presty On Tour Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) i still don't understand what bulls and horses have to do with snooker? nice job by steve davis, was very unlucky. Edited April 25, 2008 by Presty On Tour
Presty On Tour Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 the rocket just had a maximum 147 to win the match 13-7! what a break, 157k for a few minutes work.
T4E Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Quality, I'll watch that later on. Did they give a time on it?
LeftWinger Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Quality, I'll watch that later on. Did they give a time on it? Watch it Here It was just under 9 minutes I think.
Presty On Tour Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 ali carter has nailed a 147 too in this years championship!
Anti Euro Smiths Fan Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 RIP to David Vine - a pleasant gentleman and the anchorman at the World Snooker Championships from 1978 to 2000. He also presented Ski Sunday as well as 'A Question of Sport', Match Of The Day and Wimbledon tennis coverage in the 1970s, but is probably best known for being a snooker presenter during the game's 'golden period' of the 1980s. There were a number of characters in the game back then and some memorable matches like the famous 1985 final between Dennis Taylor and Steve Davis and the compelling 1982 semi-final between Jimmy White and Alex Higgins, which I saw as a boy and is still the best snooker match I've seen, with Higgins coming back from 13-15 down to win 16 frames to 15. 73 is a young age to pass away these days and it's sad news for David's family. T4E Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Vine was a voice as instantly recognisable and associated with his chosen sport as John Motson and Murray Walker. Very sad news.
Presty On Tour Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Very sad news indeed. I don't think the Lowe/Vine combination regarding snooker will ever be bettered, especially with the legendary characters playing the game at the time.
