Grabbi Graeme Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Looked in absolutle agony after the tackle which was fairly innoculous, hope it's not the dreaded metertarsal Edited April 29, 2006 by Grabbi Graeme
benhben Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 nnooooooooooo goodbye chances of winning world cup if hes out! What is it with England and injuries at a major tournament!
RovertheHill Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Does that mean that Plan B (Crouch) becomes Plan A. Sh*t, there goes the World Cup...
Hanks Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 just said that it is not as bad as first thought, here's hoping
Bobby G Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Doesnt look good for you guys...He is out for at least 2 weeks from the way he was in agony.
modes98 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Didn't see anything wrong from the first few angles and then from behind it looks awful. Very bad for Roon, hope he is back asap either way it badly damages englands world cup campaign that he can't play the last couple of games and maybe warmups/start of cup. Grabbi Graeme Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Soccer Saturday reporting that he has limped onto the Utd team coach He is to have a scan tomorrow Edited April 29, 2006 by Grabbi Graeme
ihtd Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I hope he's ok because without him and a match-fit Owen we have no chance of winning the WC. I wouldn't like to see us playing Crouch and Defoe upfront, that would be bad.
1864roverite Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 too swollen to scan for the time being. it looks bad and does not bode well for Englands chances of lifting that trophy
Blueboy Downunder Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 i read this thread and shat myself. rooney is an integral part of our world cup hopes. if that boy is firing then we have a good chance to go really far in the tournament. everytime i watching a match which pits england players against eachother, i start to fret...come on lads, easy does it.
Manchester Blue Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Mourinho said he was told it will be no problem. Ferguson will obviously be downbeat but I think he'll be ok. I didn't when he was writhing in agony mind.
Modi Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Joe Cole on Five Live said it wasn't as bad as it looked. However, when asked about John Terry. "JT is Ok. If you chopped his head off he'd still play."
brfcshabba Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Sky sports news reporting that Michael Owen has a fresh injury.
Jan Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 He'll be fine. Owen'll be fine. We, as Scotland fans, couldn't be that lucky.
eddiewac Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 http://breakingnews.iol.ie/sport/story.asp...117294&t=soccer Metatarsal again!
brennanboy Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 i somehow think it will be less then that, he strikes me as a fast healing player made of tough stuff
tony gale's mic Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) i somehow think it will be less then that, he strikes me as a fast healing player made of tough stuff 403358[/snapback] trust me, that doesn't mean anything. Edited April 29, 2006 by tony gale's mic
Rovermatt Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) MOTD latest-six weeks (the exact date of the game versus Paraguay) minimum for Rooney. I'm not an England fan by any stretch of the imagination but it's sad to see a player of such awesome ability having his place on the world's biggest stage threatened. Edited April 29, 2006 by Rovermatt
brennanboy Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 well they said dickov would be out longer than he would be with his broken collar bone, but im just being optimistic to be honest, the glass is half full
promoted2001 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 There's 10 other players on the pitch, all just as good as Rooney. Plus we have Peter Crouch! Happy times Fudge has been made
broadsword Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 It's those stupid fricking fairy boots these gaylords flounce about in. They need to start playing in hob-nailed boots again.
