Quack Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 How long does it take to re-new an expired passport? A friend of mine posted the renewal forms on a Saturday - shiny new paasport delivered the following Thursday !
FourLaneBlue Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Our opponents had a harder time getting to the group stage than us... Feyenoord - Only beat Levski Sofia on away goals Wisla Krakow - Needed extra time to finally beat Iraklis of Greece, this was after they LOST their home leg. If Iraklis can win there then surely we have a chance? Nancy - Impressively beat Schalke 04 but only after losing the first leg in Germany. Basel - OK...well they had it easy, winning 7-2 on aggregate against Rabotnicki...but then again, who are they? No need to fear.
Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 We have fans registering from Poland and Holland.............welcome to brfcs.com
SAS Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Nancy - Impressively beat Schalke 04 but only after losing the first leg in Germany. my dad watched the 1st leg he said nancy were bum raped, but didnt concede
CAPT KAYOS Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Anyone know who newcastle are playing home and away, and indeed spurs? Why? - looks similar to us though with what looks likethe harder games away from home Anyway here ya go FIXTURES
yorkblues Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 booked flights for both away games jet2 from leeds to amsterdam for £90 and ryanair from liverpool to poland £144
Ricky Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Welcome to our new Polish and Dutch friends. I'm so tempted to do the Krakow trip.. I wonder if I can blag some of my holiday from next year.
RoyRover Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 It's a tough enough draw that we have, Wisla Krakow and Feyenord away will be extremely hard games. The games against Nancy and Basle will also be difficult. The only game that I'd say that I would have definately wanted it home would be the Feyenord one, but they are struggling at the moment. Nancy just put Schalke out and Basle have shown how well they can perform in Europe over the last couple of seasons. I'm confident that we can be one of the three teams to qualify from the group.
Ste B Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 To keep this readable, we should discuss each game on a seperate thread - can we keep this thread to general UEFA discussions.
RovertheHill Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Bizarre. A cold-caller from TalkTalk (Carphone Warehouse) has justed knocked at my door. Well, she was quite pretty ( )and had what I thought was a Polish accent so I asked if she was from Krakow. The look on her face when she said she was Anyway, she'd never heard of Blackburn Rovers ! And with that she left sharpish - obvioulsy thought I was some weirdo - but nice to see the boot on the other foot with doorstep sales people... Oops - sorry mods
krislu Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Happy with the draw, we have a good chance of progressing.
G Somerset Rover Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Radio 1 newsbeat is harping on about how we and Newcastle have the hardest draw...Spuds is much harder than ours and we'd have to be dissapointed to not be in the top three in the group. Comon Boys-do us proud!
92er Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 It's about a hundred miles East of Paris, I think. On the way to Strasbourg. Should be able to fly to Paris and get a train over. That is what we did to get to a wedding. Irrelevant now.
tonygreenbank Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I watched Rovers beat Nancy at Ewood in the 60`s? in a cup competition (something like the Friendship cup) and I believe that was the first European encounter for the Rovers;it will be interesting to see them again.
Finch Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 ... And for those of us NOT jetting off to foreign destinations to see the team we love ... Anyone know if any of our fixtures are going to be on the telly? You have to expect the Feyenoord fixture would at least get sufficient attention away from the Spuds/Barcodes - biased media to get a look in.
VITO Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 HI , Everyone ! I think that you have strong team , you do not have good position in your league , but premiership is one of the strongest in europe so you are able to win this group , i think that we are going to fight against nancy for second place , feyenoord and basel will be 4-5 WHITE STAR !
Mr. E Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 It's an ok group, could have been tougher, could have been easier. We have some tough games to play but I believe we can even get the 1st spot.
DP Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 They've got everything the wrong way round. Going to be near impossible to make the away leg in just 2 weeks time, where as Basel away would have been a piece of p**. Would really love to go to Krakov, but chances are I won't be able to get a ticket anyway. Incidentally Basel have not been on good domestic form since they lost the league to Zurich on the last day of the season. They probably have the most talent of all the Swiss teams though and were very unlucky to lose to Middlesbrough last season.
Oklahoma Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 If all goes well, I'll be in Ewood to see Rovers beat Basel!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 (edited) Great group for Rovers....the words 'NO FEAR' come to mind!!! Welcome to THE greatest town club in England foreign fans Edited October 3, 2006 by SIMON GARNERS 194
SCF08 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Great group for Rovers....the words 'NO FEAR' come to mind!!! Welcome to THE greatest town club in England foreign fans With the worst defender ever.... andre ooijer I do like Steven Reid though and Savage..
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Not made the greatest of starts but we are 'warming' to him **cough.cough** But we do have 'Bert' (Brett Emerton) Do you think the Rovers game will attract a large crowd to your stadium?
VITO Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 what are your opinions about nancy ? at our forum , some people writes that they are going to win this , group , and the others writes that they will be easiest to beat , what do you think ?
92er Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The person on Eurosport UK said they have made a very good start to the season and they're a good team.
