Hughesy Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Rovers need to provide the fans with something that will make people want to consider buying a season ticket. Bolton had a big bid accepted for AJ, which shows they are showing ambition. Our club need to do the same - just to increase interest from fans. How about a bid for Nolan?

greggyk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 What? Do what clubs like Birmingham and Everton do and make big bids for players they have no chance of getting, trying to make out they are a big club. There would be nothing more embarrassing then doing that
Hughesy Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 They dont stand a chance no - but if we offered Bolton enough money, would Nolan turn us down? I doubt it!
greggyk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Pretty sure he would actually. He'd probably consider Rovers a sideways step and would wait till the likes of Liverpool and United go for him

We could bid for Duff, Eidur and John Terry, yet we'd still not sell more season tickets.
BrianPotter Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 (edited) We could bid for Duff, Eidur and John Terry, yet we'd still not sell more season tickets. We could SIGN Duff, Eidur and John Terry and still not sell more season tickets if some of the comments on here are anything to go by We've just finished 6th, in the UEFA and played some great stuff yet still people believe the club must do more to get peoples interest and therefore attend games. If we won the league next season no doubt next summer there would be people on here stating they would renew their season ticket if we'd won the FA cup as well !! Edited June 14, 2006 by BrianPotter
Atomicrover Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 sorry if I've missed the answer to this somewhere....I'm one who renewed on the early bird scheme on-line - does anyone know when the old (retained) tickets/passes go "live" again? Just feel nervous that I've heard zilch since I did it

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Rumour has it we've sold some 8,500 season tickets to date.
jamiebrfc Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Rumour has it we've sold some 8,500 season tickets to date. Is that good for this stage of the season? What is the usual amount we have overall?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Not sure how that compares to this stage last season but I think we sold around 11,000(?) ish at the start of 2005/06

I've just noticed that as well. However, I'll forgive them for that error because I think the reverse side of the card is so cool.
sleepyjack Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Rang them up and it's a printing error that's on every confirmation they've sent out. At least they didn't misspell my surname on t'other side.
Alan75 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I've just noticed that as well. However, I'll forgive them for that error because I think the reverse side of the card is so cool. Pedersen must be getting a new squad number. As I've been given the number 12.
Backroom trueblue Posted June 17, 2006 Backroom Posted June 17, 2006 Pedersen must be getting a new squad number. As I've been given the number 12. With 11,000 number 12's, we're going to have to get a bigger bench!
snatchymcsnatch Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I'm in seat 15 row 199 !! muppets! can't even get the flaming row and seat numbers in the right columns.. hmm I'd better check and make sure they've got the right ground !!!!! Are you sure that's not your seat for Newcastle Away?
roversmum Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 worry not, trueblue! The club knows how much fans like a moan, so they probably did it on purpose to see if we were paying attention!
stuwilky Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 After a panicked phone call to the TO all cleared, shame really as its a great little card. Eldest lad has put his on his bedroom wall already, hes very excited!
78 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Received an email today from the Club, about the claim your own seat deadline next weekend. Wonder how the Bellamy departure is going to effect the ST sales. Let's hope we get a player or two (hopefully both strikers) next week to compensate the loss. Could do with getting our preparations back on track, was really looking forward to next season.
ihateburnley Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 A few quick questions: 1) Can I pay for my Young Adult ticket my monthly direct debit? 2) When is the deadline for buying season tickets? Cheers.
Paul Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 1. Yes 2. There isn't one, but you obviously miss out if you wai till the season has begun
