Rovermatt Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 (edited) Can anyone explain the reasons for half of the last round of group matches being shown at the ridiculous time of 3 o'clock? It was understandable that there would be a early afternoon kick-off during the three matches per day run (otherwise, they'd be playing for two months). However now that we have moved on to two broadcasts per day, why drop the 5pm start and continue to play in the middle of the day when audiences are at work and the heat on the pitch is still suffocating? The host nation for instance will be seen by only a fraction of those viewing their previous two encounters. Talk about a farce. Edited June 20, 2006 by Rovermatt

SAS Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 im happy, i do not work at 3pm so its all good although im not happy that i will have to flick channels to watch 2 games at once
American Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I would rather the 9 (8) PM matches be earlier! You know how much of a pain it is getting a train from Kaiserslatuern to Leipzig, or a hotel anywhere within a 2 hour train ride?
neekoy Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Rovermatt, trying staying up from 11pm until 4am then getting up at 7am for work

American Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Rovermatt, trying staying up from 11pm until 4am then getting up at 7am for work 4 years ago I had to get up at 3 am for some matches. Then again, as a new parent shouldn't you be used to this lack of sleep. (For all that don't know, Neekoy is now a proud pop, congrats!!)
