Germany will knock Argentina out, but probably not in 90 minutes. It wil take ET/shootout and possibly a dodgy penalty, selective blindness by the referee to fouls/handball for Germany to win

good shout R4E. Was glad to see Argentina knocked out. Germany looked weak at the back but managed to hold on and home advantage never hurts.

I suspect a Brazil Germany final with Germany the eventual winners.

Which fills me with dread.

Get some new blood into the finals. It'll probably wind up being Brazil again, but at least I'd like them to face someone different. Deep down, I think I was pulling for Argentina because an all-South American final would have been the best matchup neutral spectators could have hoped for.

Italy look class and it will be very difficult for any of the remaining teams to defeat them in 90 minutes. When they play with XI players, they have some very convincing matches, like Ghana and Ukraine
