philipl Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Before the Tournament, everyone was tipping the Czechs. Either as the dark horses or as a FIFA top ten country, favourites in their own right. Well a fabulous performance by Ghana put paid to that who also rather efficiently sent an OK USA side packing as well. So can Ghana upset the mis-firing Brasilians? Brasil certainly are capable of taking any side apart and Big Mac Ronaldo has shown some interest in procedings but if the Ghanaians run at the Brasil backline with the relentless inventiveness they showed against the Czech Republic, I do not think the Brasil backline can hold out. Could be a very good game if the ref behaves himself.

Presty On Tour Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 if ghana can play a high tempo physical game, then they might cause brazil some problems. the brazilian defence isn't as young as it once was and me for one have been well impressed with some of ghana's attacking play in this world cup although their finishing has to be more clinical. saying that though, how are ghana going to keep out the supreme brazilian forward line, ronaldo looks as though he's finally woken up and ronaldiniho still hasn't set his usuall standard. i'm going 3-1 brazil.

Eddie Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'm going to say 2-0 Brazil, don't think Ghana really stand much of a chance, even though Brazil haven't been great so far. I think they'll really miss Essien.
neekoy Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Brazils improvement against Japan is probably going to continue, I think Ghana have done extremely well but Brazil are going to go off. Brazil 5-0
3rdpillar Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Samba time! 7 - 0 Brazil Ghana finish the game with 9 men and 6 yellow cards. Ronaldo secures the golden boot before the qtr finals.
SouthAussieRover Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'd love to see Ghana win. Miracles do happen
Ronin Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 That's the record then for Ronaldo. All time World Cup scorer.
Perth_Rover Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 (edited) 2-0 Edited June 27, 2006 by Perth_Rover
SouthAussieRover Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Adriano makes it 2-0. A suspicion of offside in the build up.
greggyk Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Ghana have been so unlucky. Somehow Dida saved the ball from a corner and then Brazil score from an attack on the break when he was clearly offside.
SouthAussieRover Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 2-0 I've always wondered about the folks from the West
