American Rover12 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) I have all their stuff and mykonos is def my fave song. I just love the harmonies in it. All their stuff is on the mellow side but most of it doesn't sound like mykonos. Edited February 5, 2009 by American Rover12

tony gale's mic Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Yeah it's very good. Still doesn't quite hit the heights of Quarry but maybe fewer duff tracks on there too, it's quite consistent right the way through. Anyone seeing him later this year?
waynerovers Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 yeah i've got tickets to see him at manchester apollo on his 50th birthday, hoping he does reading and leeds festival as well

waynerovers Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 judging by the results and nominees of the grammys i take it that they are the american equivalent of the brit awards. Who are the people who decide these things? Such poor taste, how can it be possible that a coldplay song is the best song released in an entire year?
Mc Love Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Was at concert last night, was very good. Judas Priest, Megadeth and Testament. It was fecking awesome!!

ackroyd75 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Went to see Hugh Cornwell at the Manchester Academy 3 last night. He was fantastic. Played all the new album with some old Stranglers stuff. Should be more popular than he is.

Tris Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Anybody heard Fleet foxes? Their single mykonos is getting loads of airplay at the moment, very mellow and most definitely a different sound.TBH it`s the type of music i shouldn`t really enjoy but strangely i do... Love that song too at the moment - can see/hear it in the Live Lounge << here >> Off to the Kaiser Chiefs at the MEN tonight ... should be decent.
LeChuck Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Just stumbled on this piece of news completely by accident: Faith No More are to perform again. Where on earth did that come from?! I'm going to have to go to whatever festival they end up at.
Billy Castell Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Holy Crap. that is great. Sure sticks one up Panic at the disco! announcing a new album or whatever.
Nelsta Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 New Doves song is fantastic. I agree, Doves are a very underated band.
Backroom Tom Posted March 7, 2009 Backroom Posted March 7, 2009 Applied for access to the Michael Jackson pre sale tickets for his shows at the O2 in july, I expect the shows to be a car crash but if there's a tiny chance he'll put on a show like he used to it's not one to be missed. Doubt I'll be lucky enough to get tickets though.
bob fleming Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 One of the most orignal, brilliant and yet quite daft bands that I have known have reformed. Faith No More. Well, I care a lot anyway. They are headlining one of the nights at this years Download.
Rovermatt Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 (edited) Before becoming a fixture in the gossip pages for banging Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and any other blonge with a pulse, John Mayer was best known as one of America's best young song-writers. His latest live album Where The Light Is is absolutely fantastic and worthy of a purchase. One cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin' is worth the money album alone. Edited March 8, 2009 by Rovermatt
