Radagast Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 The west of Scotland somehow dodged the second wave of snow, but today we've got that dream combination of rain peeing down on thick piles of ice. A pair of ice skates would have been handy this morning.

Baz Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Everyone enjoying the drought? Main road through Buckshaw closed due to Roundabout mutation into pond. People still driving past the cones and road flooded signs. 3 got stuck so far, it's about 3 feet deep. Heard similar issues on A666 in Darwen too.

gumboots Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) Lucky you can see your garden. Ours is under water. Clay soil and a high water table means it floods every time we get heavy rain. Edited June 22, 2012 by gumboots

Paul Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 A674 Chorley Blackburn closed last night at Wheelton about 1.30am as we made our way back from the Etihad. As we left the stadium announcements told those travelling by train to Wigan, Bolton and Preston to find an alternative - at 11.00pm! We have four lodges in our village, one has been empty for 30+ years. Today it's full, as is our garage!
