The west of Scotland somehow dodged the second wave of snow, but today we've got that dream combination of rain peeing down on thick piles of ice. A pair of ice skates would have been handy this morning.

Rained a fair bit last night around Ewood area so most of the snow has cleared.

Main road through Buckshaw closed due to Roundabout mutation into pond. People still driving past the cones and road flooded signs. 3 got stuck so far, it's about 3 feet deep.

Heard similar issues on A666 in Darwen too.

Phone playing up.was about to say whalley to mitton road was flooded at several points at teatime. Whalley has flood warnings out. Our nice new school has been leaking like a sieve all day.

Lucky you can see your garden. Ours is under water. Clay soil and a high water table means it floods every time we get heavy rain.

bad flooding in darwen and mill hill feel bad for all the people who's property has been damaged.

According to the EA river level website The Darwen as beaten its previous record high level at Ewood this evening.

A674 Chorley Blackburn closed last night at Wheelton about 1.30am as we made our way back from the Etihad. As we left the stadium announcements told those travelling by train to Wigan, Bolton and Preston to find an alternative - at 11.00pm!

We have four lodges in our village, one has been empty for 30+ years. Today it's full, as is our garage!
