SuperStella Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 What’s all this about us playing Grimsby in a friendly? It was in the observer on Sunday, the BBC web site and also stated on the Sun web site??
Lee Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Not a blummin clue, I emailed the BBC yesterday to tell them to take it off. Still listed on other sources and then the radio folks go an re-tell it without checking. It all prompted me to write this... NO MARINERS DATE DESPITE reports to the contrary in various forms of media since the weekend, Rovers do not have a pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town tomorrow night. The two sides met on the same date last year, which is possibly where the confusion has arisen. Rovers' next pre-season match is against Alemannia Aachen at the Tivoli Stadium in Aachen on Saturday evening. http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...~875203,00.html

Jordan Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Quite an apt name for a pub in Aachen for those Rovers fans making the trip.
stuwilky Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 The reserves scored three against Brig tonight. Given that I can see the pitch from the wifes work Id have gone if Id have known.
roversmum Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Glad to see the lads did well for themselves. I was going to go but after a soaking from venturing out earlier in the day decided against it. Don't forget the Reserves are playing Chorley on Saturday at Victory Park, 3pm. However it could be back down to a young side again if the older ones jet off to Holland with the Senior Squad.

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Is anybody bothering with this New Zealand friendly? I'm having second thoughts myself and I only live up the road!! Shame it couldn't have been more attractive opposition, cant see there being more than 5,000 on to be honest.
AxesFirstTouch Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Why isnt Derbyshire on the squad list going to Holland?
