Drakefyre Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I don't think Djourkaeff is really a Red Bull NY player anymore - he flew off to Germany during the world cup, got arrested, and hasn't been seen since.
blue/white Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 dont' laugh Drake, My missus threatened me w/ the very same treatment if I went to Germany for the footy matches this summer ! Poor Poor Youri!
Lee Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Did Joel Byrom that just signed for Stanley used to be on our books. Yup.
vizcaya Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 It's probably been asked about already but can't find any answers... Where is Donis nowadays? Smashing plates in a Greek restaurant every tursday lunchtime or something?
No Nay Never Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Michael Holt - Just signed for Barnoldswick Town who play in West Lancs league, was at Nelson last season and didn't stand out as someone who had played quite a bit of league football.
Lee Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 It's probably been asked about already but can't find any answers... Where is Donis nowadays? Smashing plates in a Greek restaurant every tursday lunchtime or something? Now then, let me think, I asked a very nice Greek photographer at the Olympiakos game about Donis. He had about as much to say about him as I did, I'm sure he said he was a coach for a team in Cyprus thesedays.
thenodrog Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 (edited) What happened to that stupid little sod from the reserves / youth team with the tarry fingers (cant rem his name) who got sacked by us for thieving from his mates and then picked up (reprehensibly) by Bolton? Gone on to great things in the game has he? Edited August 3, 2006 by thenodrog
1864roverite Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 There is nothing anti amercian about me you two yankee members. I have stood toe to toe with the yanks on many occasions, worked very closely with them and laughed and joked with them. I just have an opinion that you two dont agree with. Simple really ! As for macdonalds making me fat, no its the 10 pints a night syndrome that got me

rover6 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 (edited) Clark Walsh (CD/St) - Clitheroe? This was the 'genius' youngster that was released because Bobby Downes didn't like his Dad - according to someone on this board. Anthony Williams (GK) - Carlisle. He of ELEVEN different clubs is now at Carlisle. I believe he saved three (maybe two?) penalties in one game for Wales U21s. Michael Taylor (CB) - Lancaster City Craig Barr (CB) - Gretna (released this summer by Rovers) Dario Marcolin (CM) - Palazzola AC (whoever they are) Oumar Konde (CM) - Hibernian Bothroyd's at Wolves now and Unsal has retired. rover6 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Rob Kelly - Leicester City manager (former Rovers U18 team boss) and that's the bottom of the barrel I can hear.
FourLaneBlue Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 and that's the bottom of the barrel I can hear. Not quite...found out that Yordi is at Mallorca...now that must be the bottom of the barrel! Unless anyone knows where the heck Sebastian Perez is?!?!?

AndyH16 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Whatever happened to Colin Hendry? The last I heard he was sacked from Blackpool if I remember right. Wasn't his son in the Blackburn kids team (I'm sure that's not it's official title ) or something?
rover6 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 (edited) Just noted, Ian Black, former Rovers player, scored for Inverness today. As for Yordi, I think he got released by Mallorca this year. Edited August 5, 2006 by rover6
Yan Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 when i was in oz last year robbie slater presented the tv show on the premiership on fox sports or something. dunno if this has changed since jan 2005 though! he was pretty good like!
herbergeehh Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Martin Andresen has probably been the best midfielder in Norway this season, as captain and undisputed boss of the Brann midfield. Bjørnebye with a flying start to his coaching in Start, winning the two first matches against solid opposition. Will be up against Andresen and the two Scots Charlie Miller and Robbie Winters tonight though, Start - Brann Oh, and sporting director Lars Bohinen saw Vålerenga lose 3-2 to Rosenborg last night End of Norwegian update!
vizcaya Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Hmm... could be the same mr. Perez... But, does anyone have an old Rovers photo to compare it with?
SouthAussieRover Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Hmm... could be the same mr. Perez... But, does anyone have an old Rovers photo to compare it with? Nope but it looks like him to me. Blooming good player who didn't quite settle. Not helped by the cheating Le Saux who was back playing for Chelsea and was involved in the sending of Perez just as the latter was murdering him down the flank.
FourLaneBlue Posted August 8, 2006 Author Posted August 8, 2006 Updated the list and remembered Ardiles and Archibald from the 87/88 season. A quick Google showed Ardiles is managing Beitar Jerusalem (which must be an interesting post...) while Steve Archibald is putting his feet up in Spain.
Drakefyre Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Djorkaeff is back in training at Red Bull NY after Bruce Arena has officially taken over the team.
