A guy I work with saw Big Lorenzo at Liquid in Blackburn a couple of months ago. I thought it odd that he still lived locally, it certainly sounds more plausible that he is running a restaurant back in Italy!

By the way, does anyone remember his cook book, "Love Food, by Amoruso"? I meant to get a copy for my Dad's Christmas present one year but never got round to it.....

He said in his Autobiography that he wanted to go back to Italy to be with his parents as they got older. He obviously pops back here now and again - I remember him doing the half time draw not too long ago.

Amoruso was spotted at the worst club in the world, roxy in darwen, about a year ago. Someone clearly having a laugh taking him up there! Another who goes up there regularly is mark patterson!

Amoruso looked a great guy and I loved just how much he looked like a porn star!

On the footballing side, he was very good at bringing the ball out of defence and he was a real asset in the opposition box on corners. However, he was far too slow for the pace of the Premiership these days and was found out for it. They don't have the same pace and quality in Scotland accross the league. He also looked very shakey heading defensively and I always thought that he was going to make a mistake at some point.

Lol, the massive deflection off Carr and into goal against Spurs was my favourite piece of work from him- wasn't going anywhere near goal before it hit him!

Yeah I remember I couldn't get my hands on this one but believe it was for sale in 'Rover the Moon'. I was chatting to Lorenzo and informed him I couldn't get a copy. He said he would sort me out and if I could get a memo to him. Forgot and all I have is his own autobiography.

Lorenzo had an amazing debut and was one of the first times in ages that I saw a centre-half really dribble with the ball. However it wasn't too long until teams were able to expose his distinct lack of pace. If we had signed him about 2-3 years earlier he would have been a superb player.
