rebelmswar Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 "quoted for truth" Thanks I feel more clued in now, and I agree the Axe has become duller of late.

rover6 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Sure we do, I mean, he has just helped us defeat the mighty Derby County,
broadsword Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I can see that he's for the chopping block.
tchocky Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Ditto. Was a bit nervous after that lunge though, when he was already on a yellow.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 It was lucky that the referee didn't book that American dude on their side for a high foot, otherwise Mokoena probably would have gone.
John Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I like the way the Axe went storming in looking for a scrap after Brad got kicked in the head (after the penalty).
philipl Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Good luck to the lad in Ghana captaining South Africa.
rebelmswar Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Good luck to the lad in Ghana captaining South Africa. They are guaranteed success with his playing acumen.
rover6 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) Mokoena is a bad enough choice himself but partnering him with Tugay is just about the most silly idea a Blackburn manager has had since Dominic Matteo was picked as a defensive left winger. You end up with the ridiculous situation of having two guys in central midfield who want to stroll about in front of the back four. Edited January 6, 2008 by rover6
Paul Mellelieu Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 It's difficult keeping up with level of ignorant crap here. God forbid if we got relegated again. The Tugay/Axe partnership has been forced on Hughes, although it has turned in two wins in recent games. Neither stroll about in front of the back four either, which is a bit of an insult, especially to Tugay. And it's a formation Brazil play. Why not write about something you know about.
AggyBlue Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 And it's a formation Brazil play. If Brazil can play it successfully then so can Blackburn Rovers.
jny Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 No no no no no!!! Mokeona- puts in some good tackles with his 1st touch but then he has lost it by the 2nd. Did anyone see the game against sunderland, had the best chance in the game (apart from of course the penalty), all he had to do was run straight through but decided to pass the ball which hit off a sunderland player. If i am right i think he also gave the ball away against cov yesterday. He is an absolute waste of space and clearing him out will not only make space for the wage bill, we will get maybe 1m for him (good considering how rubbish he is) and Hughes may possibly be able to find another gem to replace him. keep mokeona or sell him and get a better player i know which option i'd take
mattyboy6000 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I can see that he's for the chopping block. tres drolle
Rover Simmy Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 personally id sell him. so glad he has gone to the african nations!!!
Hasta Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Be interesting to watch his performances in the African Nation cup (which I presume will be on the box somewhere). Maybe we'll find out he's a tough tackling box to box inspirational playmaker who's being stiffled by our tactics. But I doubt it
gazsimm Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Can the Axe just not stay in Afica for bloody good, he is useless, he is never a prem player and will never become one. Savage is a far better player then him.
Iceman Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Mokoena is quality, the guy is a good passer a good defender and can score vital goals.... Benni is a very good striker as well, and will score 25 goals this season....
rover6 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Iceman is South African, if anyone was in any doubt.
gazsimm Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Iceman is South African, if anyone was in any doubt. i thought so, anyone who thinks the Axe is a class player wants there eyes testing
