All of our optimism during the off-season seems to have gone...agaun just like last seasons opener. Hopefully the rest of the season will mirror last season if we are looking for omens. Heavy defeat and man off ala West ham away last year.

As for todays performance, Sparky needs a good slap for picking the Axe at RB and i am one of those people who thought that Sparky could do no wrong. The axe is not good enough for the Premiership and without Nelsen, Neill and Zurab we are going to be ###### on Wednesday when Beattie and Johnson come to town. If kanu can have his way with out defence what is Shevchenko going to do in 8 days time?
