tchocky Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) Thats a messed up lineup! I assume we are playing 4-5-1 with Tugay in def midfield and Gally as the lone striker... Or if it is indeed McCarthy(!) then the usual 4-4-2. Edited September 14, 2006 by tchocky

andrew92 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 i think the line up on the official site is wrong and mccarthy is in instead of mccarthy. i hope
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Yes, many apologies, I did make a mistake and missed out the "t". I think Benni must be playing up front as the speculation on Radio Lancs was whether Gallagher would be playing as a "2" with the striker or whether he would be playing elsewhere.
ManicRover Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 i think the line up on the official site is wrong and mccarthy is in instead of mccarthy. i hope Just reread the official site positing...in the text they say Gally is playing alongside Benni up front. It also says McEveley missed out on a sub spot. So I'm sure the McEveley that JMc is a typo.
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Radio Lancs were also feeling very positive about tonight- thinking that Hughes was really hammering home the message that tonight was a reflection of last year's success and that it is important we do well.
American Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 At what ? Probably the same thing(s) I am if he comes on here.
tchocky Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) gah... volume is a good thing Edited September 14, 2006 by tchocky
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 According to radio Lancs, it is Bentley who is supporting Benni. The game has been "frenetic"".
USRoverME Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 according to the official site Subs: Brown, Todd, Nonda, Mokoena, Jeffers, Peter, Gray. Interesting that ESPN Soccernet has our subs as: (G) Jason Brown 23 (D) Aaron Mokoena 15 (D) Eddie Nolan 32 (D) Andy Todd 4 (M) Sergio Peter 31 (S) Francis Jeffers 17 (S) Shabani Nonda 9 Nolan of course being the surprise. However, Gray is more likely.....
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Now the floodlights have gone off and the players are going off!
James No. 7 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Players off because of power failure.
ABBEY Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 RUMOUR**** JORDANS SLASHED ON THE PLUG FOR THE LEEEEEETS
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Players off because of power failure. I'm listening to Radio Lancs-what is your source?
philipl Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Woohoo- going to win my 0-0 bet as my Chinese mate has fused the stadium.
James No. 7 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I'm listening to Radio Lancs-what is your source? I'm listening to the Match Console. It's Pop Concert Stadium at the moment.
James No. 7 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) Play resumes. Edit: Echo in the room. Edited September 14, 2006 by James No. 7
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Another fantastic save by Brad-turned out to be off-side-after an unnecessary foul by neill. Richard Dinnis says our back four is geeting stretched as their midfield seem to be taking charge. 1-0 1-1
USRoverME Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 wow the uefa.com ticker is slow, it just registered their goal...
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 That might be going a bit far!. Richard Dinnis is emphasising the importance of the away game, even if we were to lose.
Texan Rover Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Can someone elaborate on what's actually happening for those of us who can't listen? It's difficult to rely on the somewhat cryptic posts that assume everyone else knows what's going on.
92er Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 The score is now 1-1. They scored first, Savage equalised.
stuwilky Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Savage scored a sublime free kick. Rovers looking more positive since. Difficult first 23 mins or so. time will be 6 mins out due to floodlight failure on 17 mins.
