PABBY Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 No shame here. The fans deserve to see the goals. I take it you won't be tuning in then, Flopsy?
doctorryan Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Just remember this phrase Flops: "PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY"; one of the most important things you can possess in life. Great free kick by Sav. And in Luke's defense; it looked like he was seeing the ball out with regards to the Red BSer to his left when the scorer came in from behind on the right. He maybe could've done more, but he could've received some help too.
vyeo Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 great job pabby! you've made my day where espn failed!
Dan Furness Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Re: the supposed TV coverage - the Hordens were advertising it outside as being shown. I went early doors to check and was told "Yep it's definitely on - we had a new box put in today specially." By about 7.40 about 300 people had descended and they attempted to switch from Terrestrial coverage of the Spurs game to Salzburg. The game was clearly listed as being shown on an ART premium channel but for whatever reason the signal was shown as scrambled. The landlord complained about them being 500 quid out of pocket (which they weren't because of the number of people buying at least one drink and buggering off) EDIT: Think the Pub was making a bona fide attempt to show the game, either someone cocked up or they were misinformed by the people installing the box. I came over to the Hordens at about 8 after rushing around various pubs that were supposed to show it but didnt. I saw them having problems with the scrambled channel, turned round and came back to the local boozer. There was a pub in Accy that showed it as I spoke to few lads later on
Blueboy Downunder Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 two good goals from us, but in very different ways. their goals, where extremely shoddy defending and have to say bad keeping aswell, for their 2nd goal. need to tighten up quite a bit!!
greggyk Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Love the bias there! Our goals were good!?And theirs bad!? You ask if Salzburg were pleased with their goalkeeper?
PABBY Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Talking of Salzburg's goalkeeper ..... after 10 mins the ball was headed back to him. It was nothing fancy, awkward or powerful, but he let it go under his foot, couldn't catch it and the ball ended up just wide of the post!
AxesFirstTouch Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) Was me or did Saltsburg just foul Bentley everytime he was in possession? Their goalkeeper really does look like a pub player People have failed to mention they hit the post 3 times I think? And really should have wrapped the game up. One attempt rattled the post, Tugay was stood on the line stranded, and just looked behind him to the crowd and chuckled, as if to say thank clumsy, hit shift + 8 again!! I had no chance there. nissefar Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) As an aside, Norwegian members, how come there were only about 100 people on the IK Start v Ajax game? It was 1840 people there, but Start didn't play at their own stadium. They used Lillestrøm's, about 350 km away from Kristiansand. Edited September 15, 2006 by nissefar
Derbyshire Blue Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I spent 5/6 hours tryin to understand and download the relevant software for two separate sites to watch the game….gave up after constant freezing frames at 7:50pm on the sites showing two Asian games. Decided to enjoy Lions Den and Extras avoiding the score, ready for Eurosport at 10, couldn’t believe it when we weren’t featured. Thought the lettering and numbers looked nice on Rovers shirts.
Ozz Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 It was 1840 people there, but Start didn't play at their own stadium. They used Lillestrøm's, about 350 km away from Kristiansand. Why?
MI ROVER Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Thanks great Savage free kick. Must admit to really liking the design of the away shirt must get that sent over
Presty On Tour Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 eurosport what a load of rubbish, seen the updates on txt, thought nice one watch the highlights now at 10!!!! are they having a laugh!!! not one piece of action, they even showed women towards the end, no offence to women but c'mon!!!
ihtd Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 PABBY you are legend, thank you very much for putting that together on YouTube as otherwise i wouldn't have seen the goals at all.
philipl Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 The best bit is watching Trap throw a wobbler over a Rovers goal- fantastic sight after years and years of watching him doing the same in Italy.
nissefar Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 It was 1840 people there, but Start didn't play at their own stadium. They used Lillestrøm's, about 350 km away from Kristiansand. Why? IK Start's stadium isn't good enough for UEFA I guess. They will have a new stadium ready in 2007 I think.
SouthAussieRover Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 What are you on about Flopsy? Thanks Pabby, much appreciated. This McCarthy fella is tempting me to get payTV once more.
Cocker Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 It was only yesterday that I was saying that I still hadnt seen these goals. Cheers Pabby
Flopsy Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Its disgusting someone has actually bothered their arse to put together the monatage of the rovers goals as no one in this country had deigned to show them in any shape of form so that Rovers fans could watch them. Shame on you
AxesFirstTouch Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Well if you'd allowed the links to the files I put up, people could have downloaded the whole match.
