tchocky Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) His 2nd today. Just can't see us scoring at all. Seem to remember Jeffers coming on earlier, but I can't see him anywhere.. Gally for the Axe now Edited October 29, 2006 by tchocky

92er Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Gallagher going to come on for Aaron for his 50th appearance.
tchocky Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Starting to create things now. Harewood on for Sheringham so he'll put the final nail in the coffin in a counter-attack then.
Shevchenko Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 And that's it, they score on a corner. Rubbish defending AGAIN.
Philly Rover ® Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Just depressing... especially with the way we controlled the second half. As a sidenote, listening to these announcers you'd be hard-pressed to figure that there are two teams playing. When Rovers dominate for a spell, it's, "Oh, West Ham look a bit tentative here." Edit: even more depressing when you consider that the corner West Ham got that gave them that goal actually came off Zamora's arm. Edited October 29, 2006 by Philly Rover ®
92er Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 McEveley on for Gray-Radio Lancs said that Gray improved during the match. But then looked tired. Another unmarked striker scores against us.
roversmum Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 shouldn't it have been our ball - not a corner for them
Exiled_Rover Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Just depressing... especially with the way we controlled the second half. Typical London club bias. As for the game, well it's a joke - Wham of old; get extremely lucky and take an undeserved three points.
Rovermatt Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) What a load of rubbish. We've dominated that game but we have been caught out twice and paid for it. The second goal shouldn't even have happened. When was the last time West Ham kept a clean sheet?! When was the last time Hayden Mullins scored?! Shocking. Edited October 29, 2006 by Rovermatt
92er Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 McEveley looks nervous since he's come on-nearly set them up for a goal.
kevinyip Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Did they learn how to defend corner??? Last time lose a corner to liverpool and this time to westham (a lot more before). Did they forget to train defend corner??? Second thing, as I have said before, we did not have enough player. Our player seems very tired. Just I said after we lose to portsmouth, please hughes give up europe.
Mr. E Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Well of course, why the f*** not ? We've droped our pants and broken every single negative record west ham had. What a disgrace. Complete joke, utter rubbish. I hate football.
G Somerset Rover Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Humiliated. We could play all night and not score. Edit-Or not!!! Edited October 29, 2006 by Somerset Rover!
Shevchenko Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 We all knew this would happen, just typical Rovers behaviour but even so this is extremely embarrasing. West Ham have been rubbish this season and yet we make them look like world beaters. Our first half was shocking and although we improved in the second you would still be hard pressed to see where the goals would come from. Fair enough we've had injuries but we should have been able to do better than this rubbish.
tchocky Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Let's face it. We can't handle an injury crisis like this. Without the 7 injured/suspended players we are just not good enough. Squad depth == shallow.
92er Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Jeffers nearly scored from a very good Gallagher cross.
rover6 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Too true. McEveley, Mokoena and Jeffers etc. are just sub-standard. Franny Jeffers may yet recover his form but the first two are lost causes, in my humble opinion. Edited October 29, 2006 by rover6
Philly Rover ® Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Tchocky's right about the injury crisis. Still, it's disappointing to know that we still should have come away with a point: Sparky will be absolutely livid when he sees the replay on the play that led to their corner.
1864roverite Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Before we get the usual drivel on here lets put one thing straight. THERE IS ONLY ONE TEAM IN THE FA PREMIER LEAGUE THAT CAN GO TO THEIR BOGEY GROUND AND DOMINATE POSSESSION TO THE TUNE OF 65%-35% AND STILL MANAGE TO LOSE. THAT TEAM IS BLACKBURN ROVERS 2-1 is a sorry defeat against a very poor team, injury to Roberts as well makes me think that this week and in particular our favourite month of November is going to be HELL. heaven help us
G Somerset Rover Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Jeffers nearly scored from a very good Gallagher cross. I thought Gally and Peter were the only bright points from a miserable, miserable afternoon. After Basel our next 3 fixtures are Villa away, Utd and then Spurs home. Sav, Reid and Nelsen must've been cringing watching that. Sparky said before the game that he was interested to see how the 'squad' as a whole would do...I think he got a resounding answer.
