92er Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I hope MH gets what he wants in terms of the crowd. Is anyone else a tad disappointed we have not had fans from Basel on this website? It has been really good when we have had Europen visitors as it has helped in the build up to the game.
den Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 We must try to avoid yellow/red cards in this game. With our weakened squad, the last thing we need are suspensions for the Feyenoord game. Anyone know the euro booking count?
pleasure Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 We must try to avoid yellow/red cards in this game. With our weakened squad, the last thing we need are suspensions for the Feyenoord game. Anyone know the euro booking count? should rovers win on thursday and results go our way, we'll more of less have qualified - rendering the feyernoord game almost meaningless. UEFA bookings: suspention after 3 cautions, also carried into next stages! rovers players on 1 yellow card : brad, tugay, ooijer, bentley, nonda.
Ricky Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I would imagine Ooijer is in most danger of picking up another one. To be fair Tugay and Bentley aren't known for their strong tackling. Agreed 3 points in this game would go a long way to seeing us qualify, but as it's rovers and we don't like to do things the easy way, expect us to lose!!

Mr. E Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Actually I think we'll follow in the footsteps of other english clubs and do well in europe while suffering in the league. I predict we'll win this one 1-0 and qualify, but then the misery continues on Sunday...
chris Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 we have some of our major players missing and based on Sunday are a different team witout them touch wood we will be strong enough and get 2-1 victory
pleasure Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 i thought bentley has got 2 yellow cards in europe i could be worng though does the Salzburg game count or not? he got booked in Austria and at Ewood you're right, but .....according to various reports, no rovers player was booked at ewood. but i can remember him being booked for kicking the corner flag.

Ricky Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I know it's probably been asked before but I can't seem to find a definitive answer... Is the game on the tv this week.
pksrover Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 A reprieve for Micky Gray then? I would like to see McEveley again. Gray played awful against west ham, and I think McEveley played decent in the 2nd half against chelsea
Ricky Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 McEveley also looked pretty shocking when he came on against West Ham
pksrover Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 (edited) I know it's probably been asked before but I can't seem to find a definitive answer... Is the game on the tv this week. check out SatFootball.com for tv listenings! Edited November 1, 2006 by pks1984

b12_simon Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 1 - 0 Rovers. Were this an away game, I'd be predicting a Basel win. Simon
gazsimm Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 McEveley also looked pretty shocking when he came on against West Ham he only came on for the last 15 minutes or so i say give the lad a chance he can't be any worse then can't be botherd Gray
Ricky Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Well i'm as confused as I was before. Pks1984 link to satfootball states that it's not on and Gazsimm says it is. I'm still none the wiser. Yahoo have it on their listings so that'll do for me

SuperStella Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Just got an official text off Rovers; Hughes is hopeful that MGP, Nonda and Savage will be fit for tomorrow's nights game against Basel but Brett Emerton is definately out with a hamstring injury
gazsimm Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 (edited) If i Was Mr Hughes i would choose the following team for tommorrow night Brad Neil Ooijer Zurab McEveley Bentley Tugay Savage Gallagher McCarthy Nonda Edited November 1, 2006 by gazsimm
