Ricky Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I'd rather take a chance on Eastwood. Taking the goal out of the match last night I thought he looked impressive, quick feet and pace. Very impressive scoring record. He's managed 10 goals (I think) for the team currently bottom of the Championship. I know it's a big step up but he certainly seems to have the quality to make it.

blue phil Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I'd rather take a chance on Eastwood. His manager says he's going nowhere in the January window ...............so we've definitely a good chance if we offer a decent price
Presty On Tour Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 eastwood is valued at around 3-4 million people on sky sports were saying lastnight.
Ricky Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I can't believe the prices some of the championship teams are getting for players. McSheffrey was about 4m, Jermoe Thomas also went for quite a good fee. To be honest if we were looking at about £1.5 -£2m for Eastwood then fair enough, anything more is too much of a risk.
Billy Castell Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Indeed, our finances are tight, and it's only spoons like Boro and the barcodes that can chuck £3-4m at a player and take such a risk.

roversmum Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 talking of Davies, read last week that he was talking of leaving Bolton unless they gave him an improved contract.............

gazsimm Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 talking of Davies, read last week that he was talking of leaving Bolton unless they gave him an improved contract............. hope your not suggesting we should go for him if he doesn't sign a new contract at Bolton

philipl Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 The Belgian lad won't be coming- he did his ankle ligaments late in the Cercle game this week-end and is out for several months.
