Roaming Rover Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I'd be more than happy with a draw, the problem is you never know with Rovers. They can be pretty awful like at Villa and West Ham then put in a fantastic performance to beat the likes of Man U. Think with the injuries we have and the way Man U are playing we will lose this though. 3-1 to Man U

Napoleon Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 United will be well up for this after last season, and given Chelsea`s recent stumble. Would be great to rain on Fergie`s 20 year parade though. Us 1-3 Them
Ozz Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 To be honest, i didnt know 'scum' would give people so much grief. I do apologise if it seriously put some off. Don't worry about it, just old miseries like me, Jan and so on. I meant generally, not particulary your preview V. But the thread title is a little unambiguous.
MI ROVER Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 We will be on the end of a pasting here !! and so will Gray if selected looking forward to the first rooney/gray tackle. Utd will be exacting revenge on our double last season ! Scum term should be left for those nasty inbreds further down the M65. I for one (but don't hang me) would much prefer Utd to win the title over the rent boys.
emglch Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 (edited) Rovers 1 Manure 2 Edited November 7, 2006 by emglch
1864roverite Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Interesting preview, but I think that the constant use of the term Scum when referring to United is not doing this board any favours. Just my opinion. I thought swearing was totally banned from the board Ozz I cannot think of a better term to describe that lot, but its my personal opinion
bob fleming Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 With a decreasing number of supporters and revenue, it is possible that one day, this small, unpopular faction may be indeed be banished; but they say fortune favours the brave, and this is not the day. This day, WE FIGHT. I like that. I like that a lot. Pin that up somewhere someone. Nice one vyeo. Rovers 2 Manchester United Esq 1. No idea how.
rebelzero Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 but we've played well at home, but probably not well enough with the injuries around Old Trafford should be a different war Rovers 2 Manure 3 Bentley Saha (2) McCarthy (own goal - Mokoena) may the force be with us!
blue phil Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Interesting preview, but I think that the constant use of the term Scum when referring to United is not doing this board any favours. Just my opinion. Are we allowed to refer to Scumchester's manager as Sir Alex Ferguscum ? Or will that offend your sensitivities
Presty On Tour Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 so many folks predicting the worst on saturday, we need to start singing again, remember we are blackburn rovers we are supreme!!! the best link i've ever posted, enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RNNQ_k5lTE
Ozz Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Are we allowed to refer to Scumchester's manager as Sir Alex Ferguscum ? Or will that offend your sensitivities I'll allow that one in the sense of good humour Phil
Tris Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 They're currently being trounced 1-0 by the bottom team in the Championship (Southend) with half an hour to go. Normally I'd find such a thing quite amusing, but on this occasion it's scaring me. If they do go on and lose this one, we're doomed on Saturday. Doomed.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 The RED SCUM have indeed been deservedly beaten 1-0. Hilarious for tonight but the worst possible result for us re:Saturday.
USABlue Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Well that should have their backs up. A slight chance it could work in our favour, they'll be under a bit of pressure to win. I fancy a right hiding for us now though.
OJRovers Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Good that Utd lost tonight - bad for Rovers on saturday, we may be on the end of a backlash. Although Utd must be more scared considering Rovers are due a backlash after 3 league defeats!!
Quack Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I now fear for us on Saturday - Fergies hair dryer will be burnt out by then, thanks for nothing Southend! 4-1 to the Reds
Presty On Tour Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 backlash v backlash, well who wants it more
Ricky Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Another worrying thing about this game is that both Lucas and Zurab are on 4 yellow cards so we could easily have them both missing for our next game if they're not careful. That could leave us with a very weak back line.
SAS Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 were gonna be on the end of a thrashing 4 league defeats in a row that would be unthinkable however unbeaten at home in the league to red scum this century...
Hughesy Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 With our injury list – I will say 3-0 United. Missing both Reid and Savage will prove costly here I think! Hope im wrong though!
Rovermatt Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Nothing would make me happier than handing out a beating to the team who are still the most hateful in the league. I'm not confident though. We'll be very accomodating and give them a couple of goals they don't even deserve. A maddening 2-0 loss I'm afraid.
Roaming Rover Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Just thinking back to last season when we played Man U. We had Kuqi and Bentley upfront and things didn't look to promising then, and we all know what happened that night Than again..................................
gazsimm Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 (edited) Any chance of Emerton being back for this one? I reckon Hughes might bring back Matteo for Gray for this one and i can see Neil being our holding midfielder with the axe moving out (hopefully back to South Afica) Edited November 8, 2006 by gazsimm
Cocker Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Any chance of Emerton being back for this one? According to THIS he will be though might need some reserve games to get match fit again
