Perth_Rover Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 2-1 rovers will be at ewood for the boxing day match!
rebelzero Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 for the "must-win" matches this year, our scoring has come from two main sources Rovers 2 Fulham 1 McCarthy McBride Bentley
3rdpillar Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) Failing to achieve 3 points from this game would spell real relegation troubles for BRFC. Looking forward to a gritty performance with Tugay out!. Rovers 3 Fullam 1 Edited November 27, 2006 by 3rdpillar
gazsimm Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Failing to achieve 3 points from this game would spell real relegation troubles for BRFC. Looking forward to a gritty performance with Tugay. Rovers 3 Fullam 1 Tugay is suspended its a must win game for us, if we loose this one i can see us really struggling this season. I would like Jeffers to start this one
Jordan Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 btw...when is the last time we had a 3pm kick off on a saturday? definately a win to celebrate the occasion The last 15:00 Saturday Kick off was at Liverpool on the 14th October. The last home one was on the 18th March 2006 against Middlesbrough.
Nayef Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 We must have a match at least once in a while where everything goes for us. Blackburn 6 Fulham 1 Can't predict who'll score for Rovers but Fulham's will be a penalty after Ooijer handles in the box.
MI ROVER Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Drop Nonda replace with Jeffers. Replace the suspended Tugay with Bentley in the middle and put Gally out wide. Fulham play Arsenal on Wed night so hopefully we can benefit from the break. 3 - 1 Rovers feeling confident.
LeChuck Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I don't think this is what Sparky will go with, but due to a mixture of injuries and bad form I'd like to see... Friedel Neill Zurab Ooijer Gray Emerton Bentley Savage Gallagher Jeffers McCarthy However, I think we will persevere with Pedersen and Nonda for the time being. The rest should be the same though, unless we play Mokoena in the middle.
rog of the rovers Posted November 27, 2006 Author Posted November 27, 2006 Wow Ive previewed the last two Saturday home games!!
Roar of the Rover Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) Should be a comfortable win but we always make it hard for ourselves, thats the way we do it, i'm going for a 2-0 win with McCarthy and Pedersen, both due a goal and also a 1st clean sheet at home in the league. Fife Rover Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 After the UEFA Cup game, we will have 10 days to recuperate and I think we should be up for this game and have Neill back too. Why is it that our match with Watford was postponed though? Somebody said it was because they were playing Rugby on Sunday at Vicarage Rd. Don't know if it's true though.
AggyBlue Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 It will be closer than people think Rovers 1 : 0 Fulham At least we've got a game were there won't be any big club bias from the ref
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 As of now we are joint third from bottom.
Quack Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Only out of the bottom 3 on goal difference - really must get 3 points on Saturday, 2-1 to Rovers, McBride for Fulham, Jeffers / Savage - not looking forward to this at all!
DudeAbides Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 we really need a win, otherwise its squeeky bum time...
AxesFirstTouch Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Id prefer: Friedel Emerton Henchoz Ooijer Gray Bentley Gallagher Savage Peter Jeffers McCarthy .. Subs: Brown, Derbyshire, Zurab, Neil No point in playing Neil. Just use him as a sub from now on. Zurab is too dodgy, Henchoz looked much better.
gazsimm Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 team for Saturday i would like to see would be Brad Emerton Ooijer Henchoz Neil Gally Bentley Savage Gamst McCarthy Jeffers
Presty On Tour Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 everybody seems to be having a right pop at zurab the last few weeks? imo he is a legend, last season he was awsome along side nelsen and took todd's place in the side with his well good performances. yeah he has had his faults with a few mistakes this season and he did look nervous against feyenoord but once settled he played well along side ooijer i thought. for the price we paid, he is a bargin and a top player. it will take time for the perfect partnership at the back with ooijer but the rotating of full backs i dont think is helping the progress. Team i think hughes will play against fulham: friedel emerton ooijer zurab neill bentley axe savage gamst nonda benni subs: brown, jeffers, peter, henchoz, gray. i would like to see peter and jeffers starting in place of the axe and nonda but i just cant see hughes doing that. it would also be tidy to see gallagher and derbyshire make the 16 but here's hoping!! hughes to get one over his welsh counterpart big stylie!! rovers 6-0 fulham zurab gamst emerton benni savage ooijer
roversmum Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Don't want to spoil the party, but did anyone notice that Fulham beat Arsenal 2-1 this evening
Presty On Tour Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Don't want to spoil the party, but did anyone notice that Fulham beat Arsenal 2-1 this evening just seen the highlights on motd, first time arsenal have lost to fulham in 40 years. fulham played well, hopefully they will be knackered come saturday and we can run rings round them

Henchoz looked better in one game then Zurab has looked this season.
gazsimm Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 everyone is a 'legend' and 'quality' in your book though. Henchoz looked better in one game then Zurab has looked this season. neither of them will get in the team when Nelson is back. It seems like a life time now since he last played for us.
SouthAussieRover Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Was feeling confident until I saw they beat Arsenal. Rovers 2 Foolem 1.
