Paul Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Yes I remember that. I went to all three games against Wolves, fantastic night at Burnden park when Chorley beat Wolves 3-0, Steve Bull and all as I recall. I used to stop at a Preston newsagents every night on my way home from work, turned out the owner was the Chorley chairman, still is I think. I don't remember the game at Ewood much except I sat in Nuttall Street.
1864roverite Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 remember Burnden well. As a villager from Wheelton we actually supported the townies from Chorley, taking a supporting task force from Wheelton, Higher Wheelton, Brinscall and Whittle. There was about 60 of us in all and that train ride to Bolton was just a great day out. Does anyone remember the Wolves train coming in adjacent to the "chorley" platform and getting every window done ? That was a scary scenario especially when fans were on the track exchanging blows.
