SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 The Addicks haven't won in ages and low and behold they are playing Rovers. 4-0 Charlton.....2 red cards for Rovers.

Gareth Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Charlton are having a crap season, therefore, we're bound to lose Chalrton 2-0
Eddie Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 Some team news: Henchoz has picked up a knock and might miss the game, Zurab is still out. Charlton have JFH back, Jerome Thomas and Diawara are back as well. They are expected to return to a 4-4-2, I would think that means that JFH will play up front alongside Bent.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 It is absolutely vital we score first - if they score first their confidence will come back. On paper their squad isn't that bad - but confidence is a fragile thing. Benni to score first to see us to an eventual 3-1 win (I hope)

If Henchz doesn't make it I reckon the team will be: ---------Nonda-----McCarthy Peter Savage Tugay Bentley --Gray Ooijer Neill Emerton ----------------Freidal Although MH has persisted with MGP through thick and thin perhaps today represents a fine opportunity to give Peter a start. I just have a feeling he might do it.

Eddie Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 Also, tickets are still available and will be sold on the night.
tcj_jones Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Big news that Henchoz will not be playing. He was superb against Spurs and I think we will really miss him;
Exiled_Rover Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Threadbare back line that. A win is looking less likely now.
philipl Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 This is a huge challenge now- Charlton welcome three players back from injury and a look at the table this morning tells us all we need to know about Les Read's team talks. - Charlton's most important game this decade etc etc. Rovers with 6 out through injury. Even so a line-up of Friedel, Emerton, Ooijer, Neill, Gray, Bentley, Tugay, Savage, MGP, McCarthy, Nonda; subs Brown, Todd, Gally, Peter, Mokoena doesn't look too bad. Derbyshire and McEveley still don't make the bench.
Backroom trueblue Posted December 5, 2006 Backroom Posted December 5, 2006 Sky Sports 1 (Ford Football Special at 10pm) have it down as Charlton v Blackburn at Ewood Park
Roar of the Rover Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 It should be an easy win but we have to make sure we get the first goal, 3-1 to rovers with McCarthy scoring twice and MGP scoring the other.
thenodrog Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 It should be an easy win You're young right? Anyway I guess that we'll at least take more supporters than Fulham brought here on the basis that not many southerners work in Blackburn do they?
Presty On Tour Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 with nelsen, zurab and henchoz all out, what do you think the odds are on a andy todd recall? tugay returning from susspension should see him return to the starting line up, pushing bentley to the right and droping emerton back into fullback. neill and ooijer should be the centre backs tonight but you never know.
Blueboy Downunder Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 we just got to get the 3 points!! doesn't matter how or how many goals we score, just get the victory!
James No. 7 Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 1-0 Benni McCarthy Mokoena to win the M.O.M. award!!!

Anyway I guess that we'll at least take more supporters than Fulham brought here on the basis that not many southerners work in Blackburn do they? That's good point that, you would think all the London clubs must get better away attendance than pretty much any other clubs in the country due to exiles.
roverthemoon Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Rovers v Charlton and Spurs v Borough Highlights on Skysports 1 at 22.00 to 23.30 2-0 Rovers (Benni & Bentley)
CAPT KAYOS Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 0 v 0 Charlton nervy because they need a win - Rovers normally the charity case try to abstain from getting beat and our forwards flatter to deceive.. 20,127
ozzyblue Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 going to the bookies now to back 3-1 rovers, do the same bet every game and it nevers comes up, so......................its obviously going to happen tonight.
blue/white Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Would be very nice to grab the full 3 points, nevermind nice, downright important. I think Rovers will make a late claim for the full points. Rovers 2 - Addicks 1 Benny 25'- who cares? Brad 88' (sound familiar?) C'mon Rovers, we need to make this game in-hand count for 3 & jump to 12th.
AggyBlue Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Them 0 : 1 Rovers Nonda, he's found his scoring boots.
