Dan Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 We can't string two passes together. This is against Reading and is without doubt one of the all time worst performances I have witnessed. Dailly and Peacock would make this lot seem bad. Lets hope it's better in the 2nd half as it has been lately, but seriously we look a lot worse than we did when we went down.

Look4Me Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Might as well go back to regular 4-4-2 and get Derbyshire or Nonda in up front. It's not like we're that much better at the back with 5 there..
tchocky Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Very worrying. Something must be done. This isn't just because of injuries. However we tend to wake up in the 2nd half and we still have 11 players on the field so there is a glimmer of hope. Gamst and Benni have got an extra gear which can result in a goal.
Bobby G Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Poor first half performance. Full control of the game by Reading. We mustered one shot on goal by Pedersen which was blocked and Benni put it in from an offside position. Overall no fluidity, seemingly uninterested or maybe downhearted performance by most of the players. Neill has been poor but then again so has Ooijer, Gray and Bentley among others. Pedersen has been our most lively player from central midfield. Our side is headed for relegation unless some changes are made, including some scoring potential. I watch Doyle for Reading and the way he is physically tormenting our back four even though he doesnt look like a strong player and I look at our strikers and see no real pressure on opposition defenders. Benni looks exhausted he isnt leading the line. With that said he isnt receiving any service unlike earlier in the season. We need signings and whoever thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. And Hughes' excuses are becoming too regular now, just like Souness' lady luck speeches in the past and although Im not suggesting anything drastic, I firmly believe we need changes in the playing staff, a couple of good signings.
Daremz Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Don't start on Hughes, it's not his fault. We will get back on track and win this match. Pedersen and Bentley to score, 1-2 Rovers. Not sure why I believe this, but I would love that as a result. JAMES MCEVELEY OFF!! YEAHOOOO Nonda on. I told you we'll win this. Muhahahaha [/dreaming]
Wolves_Rover Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) Poor first half, this could easily be a drubbing if we don't buck up our ideas. Reading could have had 3 by now. Pedersen is our brightest spark so far. Edited December 16, 2006 by Wolves_Rover

Even my blind grandmother can see that there's something drastically wrong....yet he has refused to change it for soo long, and now he has a plays this peach of a formation!! Edit: Nonda is on so everything is saved! Edited December 16, 2006 by cn_barlow
tchocky Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Thats never offside. We've been screwed by the officials again.
Daremz Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 How the hell is it not his fault? He's themanager so it is his fault... For 1 second, I wanted to react, but 'he's the manager so it is his fault' says enough for me, no discussion possible. Anyways, let's get back (from) behind Rovers, go! We've won ourselves a corner, well done!
tchocky Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Looking much better already. We're putting some pressure on them.
Mr. E Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 the linesman can take that flag and insert it where the sun don't shine. 2 games = 4 disallowed goals vs Rovers.
tchocky Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 "If he doesn't give the penalty, why does he not show McCarthy the yellow card?" - commentator. Because he's an incompetent fool! - me.
AggyBlue Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 We've just had a blatent dive in the area by Benni. He didn't get carded either
Dan Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) Is it me or has Lucas's passing seem like he is wacking it towards the other player, rtaher than passing it? Other goal ruled out, guess who is offside? Player 10 times better now however, passing some good moves together... Edited December 16, 2006 by Dan5678
tchocky Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 hattrick of disallowed goals from benni. 2 correct.
Wolves_Rover Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Benni goes to ground in the box, lucky to escape a booking.
James No. 7 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Oh dear. Didn't actually see the second goal so I can't say that is offside or not (I'll take it that it wasn't). The first and third were, though.

cn_barlow Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Why the hell can we play like this in the first half of games??!! I think the last one was offside aswell
James No. 7 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Well done Benni. You deserve it. GOAL. Take that!
Dan Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 How does that work?! A reading player pretends to have a head injury when we are shooting to the goal and they get to kick the ball on a drop ball?
