G Somerset Rover Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I predicted a win here last season and think again that we'll collect all three points. Firstly they really aren't that good a team and secondly Camara is out and his pace would have worried our back line. Wigan 0 Rovers 3 Benny Mac x2 MGP On a final note, it was just pointed out on goals on sunday that Lee Mcculloch still has to serve his final match ban after Wigan's game against Watford was postponed-which is good news for us. The baffling thing-One of Wigan's players got a yellow card yesterday and will be now serve a ban for it despite the match being abandoned?!........What crazy rules.

Bobby G Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Will their match pick up from the 55th minute? If so, then that booking makes sense to stand. But kind of contradictive isnt it.
philipl Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Just read the BBC preview and they have even more absentees than we do. So long as Sparky's fitness regime has breathed life into some very tired legs after yesterday (Wigan's 55 minutes splash around at Vicarage Road was probably every bit as debilitating) we should have every chance of bringing home the three points if Tugay is around for at least some of the match to provide the class.
Ozz Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Anyone able to give two of us a lift from Chorley to Wigan, will pay/buy drinks etc. Well behaved, house trained etc. PM me for mobile number... Sorted, cheers Aggy. Thanks.
bigfilbar8 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 With Wigans game today only 55 minutes long and the fact that we have played the same starting lineup the last few games and will have to play again in 48 hours, I think the odds are slightly in their favor. In our favour Mc Culloch's three game ban should have ended against Waford - he is now banned against us + Todorov's loan from Popemy is up as it only ran until 01/01/07. Neill is banned for the FA cup tie at Everton - he timed that well!
dring1 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 hard fought win to rovers and talk of euro qualification. Wigan 1 Blackburn 2 Heskey Benni M, Savage just to think a week ago we were talking about relegation and now we are talking about europe how thins change
disgruntled Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 In our favour Mc Culloch's three game ban should have ended against Waford - he is now banned against us + Todorov's loan from Popemy is up as it only ran until 01/01/07. Jordan Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I would love us to make it three wins on the bounce tomorrow but I would be happy to take a draw. It is inevitable that Heskey will score, however did we not all say that about Bellamy on Boxing day. Hopefully it will be worth getting up for at 8am on New Years Day and I think we will snatch all three points with a 1-0 win. McCarthy scoring the all important goal for the Rovers.
rebelzero Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Wigan 1 Rovers 3 Heskey Nonda, McCarthy, Derbyshire
Gareth Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 We won't make it 3-in-a-row & Heskey will score against us as usual... Wigan 2-0
AggyBlue Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 We won't make it 3-in-a-row & Heskey will score against us as usual... Yes he will but we'll still do 'em. Latics 1 : 2 Rovers.
RoversFanUSA Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 AggyBlue i like the cut of your jib! I must agree we are gonna due'um i think 2-0 Rovers MGP and McCarthy. and i have a feeling that we are gonna shut Heskey down like James Brown(RIP)! Win to Rovers 3 in a row and move up the Table.
joeh8 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I av got a feeling that heskey wont score against us for once but mgp benni n nonda will a dont know bout the last 1 3-1 rovers with camera scoring for wigan
AggyBlue Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Any chance of this game being off. It's not raining now but will rain later today. I don't think there's much chance of it being called off. Touch wood.
bluewhitearmy Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 2 hour now before i set off for wigan love a win today come on the lads 1 nil
Hasta Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Tired legs, tiring ground. 2-2 draw. I have to admit it put that much rain down at about 5am this morning I thought the game could be in doubt.
Paul Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 If you don't have a ticket, the Wigan TO just told me it's cash on the turnstiles.
spanishblue Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Wish I was going You can't beat a local derby, hopefully we will stuff them 4-0 and improve our goal difference. Looking forward to the Arse game as I am back for that Nonda MGP Benni Neil (parting goal before he goes to Liverpool)
Roar of the Rover Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Have we sold out our allocation like last year? if not then how much have we sold?
Paul Mellelieu Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 We returned 3,000 out of our 5k allocation.
Fife Rover Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 There is far too much optimism around on here today. Usually bodes evil so I am going for: Wigan 3 - Rovers 1 Heskey 2 (1pen), Ooijer O.G. - Savage 1 (91 min)
Exiled_Rover Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 If you don't have a ticket, the Wigan TO just told me it's cash on the turnstiles. My dad and I were interested, until we found out it's £30 a ticket. No chance of that happening I'm afraid. As for a prediction, well I'd be happy with a point today.
