allrovertheworld Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 'The Beast' on Five USA 10pm Wednesday, watched the first episode last night and its pretty good. Swayze is top draw, forgot who good an actor he actually was.

American Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Watched the first half and have the second half on the sky planner ready to watch tonight. So far, I liked it. Edit: Also watching the final series of the Shield for the second time. For anyone who's ever watched any of it, this is by far the best season, and that is saying a lot.

I watch the Shield at about series 4 and then just got out of the habit, must say it was a welcome return on Monday night to sit down and enjoy some very good programme making. I have always liked the American cop dramas. 'The Wire' now that was a proper show.

Exiled_Rover Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 'The Beast' on Five USA 10pm Wednesday, watched the first episode last night and its pretty good. Swayze is top draw, forgot who good an actor he actually was. He'll never top Bodhi, which isn't a bad thing mind. 'The Beast' was pretty entertaining I have to agree. Does anyone else watch Bones? I love it for some reason.
Rovermatt Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 So recently I´ve started to watch the West Wing. Really didn´t think it would be that interesting, uninformed I simply thought it would be a show about politics. But I gave it a go and WOW am I glad I did. I don´t know how I missed the boat on this one when it was on TV but on the upside, I can now watch everything on DVD in my own pace. This is seriously good television - probably the best I´ve ever seen. I´m halfway into the second season and the quality is just astounding. The writing, the cast and the stories are all top, top notch. The only thing about this on DVD is that it is impossible to watch just one episode at the time...once you put a disc in that´s it. Arguably the best TV show ever made. It's just jaw-dropping at times.
Presty On Tour Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Impressed with Al Murray's sketch show, seen the first few and he's got some good characters and material.
Nate Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 State of Play with John Simm, David Morrissey and Kelly Macdonald. Gripping drama.
Tango Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 New series of The Apprentice starts in under half an hour... let's see what hair-brained, back-stabbers they've brought together in Sir Alan's boardroom this time! Always cracking TV!
Mc Love Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Indeed it was, what a load of bitchyness to start it off!
Presty On Tour Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Those ladies could give an aspirin and headache when they were bitching at each other.
Rovermatt Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Glad to see that Sir Alan has another pile of chancers to eviscerate every week. I'm particularly repelled by fat Ben the stock-broker from Belfast. He is the complete rugby playing, public-school attending t*sser.
Flopsy Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 He'll never top Bodhi, which isn't a bad thing mind. 'The Beast' was pretty entertaining I have to agree. Does anyone else watch Bones? I love it for some reason. its funny and silly, with a good ensemble cast. After watching the final two episodes of Battlestar, i was wondering whether there had ever been a better ending to a TV series? I could only come up with Serenity for Firefly
ABBEY Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 got myself a 50% warning off cocker other week matt for using that t word.
ABBEY Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 ulcer not a chance...just makes me laugh all the double standers on here thats all.
Ray-Von Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Not on last night, but the Red Riding trilogy on Channel 4 was bloody brilliant.

I could only come up with Serenity for Firefly Utterly redeemed itself as this series has been utter tosh for the last 10 or so episodes. Great ending.
American Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Not on last night, but the Red Riding trilogy on Channel 4 was bloody brilliant. Saw the first one and wasn't very impressed.
Flopsy Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Utterly redeemed itself as this series has been utter tosh for the last 10 or so episodes. Great ending. I think they were tying up some loose ends and then building up for the end, it was really grim just before the mutiny. Must watch the 1st few series again
SouthAussieRover Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I must say I've been enjoying the latest run of Spooks. Great fast paced production.
Ozz Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 I accidentally saw The Street repeated late last night, had Tim Spall in it. I thought it was excellent, and was not surprised to find it is a Jimmy McGovern drama. The Street. Anyone else seen it at all?
