adopted scouser Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Not last night but Ashes to Ashes on Monday was superb. I thought the first series was rubbish after 'Life on Mars', but really enjoying this one.

Nelsta Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Did anyone manage to watch the new Red Dwarf, It was a bit of a slow burner.I didnt hold out much hope for it, But it was far from the worse thing they've done.
American Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Just watched a re-run of the Apprentice. If these are GBs best and brightest.... I mean, shouldn't you go on the Internet and spend 15-30 minutes valuing items first thing nowadays if you're given stuff to sell?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I wondered why they didn't just go to an auction house and find out what was valuable. What confused me even more was that they knew the rug was expensive because that's what all the shop keepers were saying. But they were just trying to flog it for whatever they could get. I think the weak ones left in are: Lorraine, Phillip, Debra, Mona and Ben with Kate, James and Yasmina being the best so far. Howard has been so under the radar, he could be a dark horse.
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Any Lost or Dexter fans here? I'm a big fan of Dexter.
Backroom Tom Posted May 6, 2009 Backroom Posted May 6, 2009 Good good, both current series are great, Lost just gets more intreaging and this new season of Dexter looks like another good un. My only gripe with Dexter is the new guy sucks, he's no Doakes. Only found out recently that Dexter n Debs are married in real life.
colin Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Sorry for slightly diverting this away but I was sent this link from a chum. I don't suppose it deserves its own thread so I thought I'd stick on here. So, got a bicycle? Eat your heart out. Speakers on
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I've seen that guy before, pretty impressive.
Billy Castell Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Saw it, and it was really good. Isn't it a series?
Presty On Tour Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Looking forward to the next installment of Ashes To Ashes tonight. The Gene Hunt character is a comedy genius and I just love the Quattro!
adopted scouser Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Looking forward to the next installment of Ashes To Ashes tonight. The Gene Hunt character is a comedy genius and I just love the Quattro! Last night's episode was just fantastic, almost 'Life on Mars' quality. Seems to me Hunt's character was toned down for the first series of Ashes, and let off the lead again for this one. When he shot that bloody dog
Flopsy Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Saw it, and it was really good. Isn't it a series? No, a reduced version of a one off show, the full version due out at crimbo.

When he shot that bloody dog Pretty sure Gene eluded to Sam Tyler when he warned the others not to take a bung at the end. He said something like "someone once told me that police corruption will be a thing of the past. He is dead........".
Beta Ray Bill Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Fringe has been mentioned previously and I thought it was pretty hit and miss until the last few episodes when it's improved beyond all recognition. The last few mins of the season finale were great and very brave for a US tv show. Can't wait for season 2 now!
Rovermatt Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I would highly recommend NBC's newest drama Southland. It's an original enough mix of police procedural and character drama.
ABBEY Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 dont know if anyones mentioned THE MENTALIST ,very good indeed.
JC4LAB Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The Apprentice is always watchable but I reckon they could beef it up by combining it with BadLads Army instead of hand picking the born with a silverspoon type...Perhaps being given a task and a bollocking from Alan Sugar (and even a job)would give them more hope of making something better of themselves than a boot up the arse ...Admittedly a valuable antique may just end up on someones fireplace in Liverpool
Grabbi Graeme Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Watched the second episode of the new Knight Rider on Sci Fi, I seen the first one not long after it was shown in USA, but nevr watched the rest on the series. As usual with remakes I think they have spoiled it especially KITT who can now change shape.
Nelsta Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 for some reason i have never botherd with the inbetweeners.I'd always avoided it thinking it was a comedy version of skins aimed at "trendies".How wrong was i, i cant believe i've never watched it before, seriously funny and now i'm completley obssesed with it. And it's good to see Supernatural has been renewed for a 5th season.
ABBEY Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 just watched 2 and 1/2 men...its funniest prog at the mo without doubt
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Apprentice - Thank God Ben has walked, I think I'd have ended up needing a new telly if he was still on, and my shoes are in tatters from excessive lobbing.
