Nelsta Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 My little lad is a huge fan of wrestling, Well the other day i watched it with him.And Oh my goodness Bret Hart is back! Now i aint watched wrestling since well...about 1997 when Bret Left. And it was good to see him back.He looks a bit haggerd now but i guess a stroke can do that to a guy.
Backroom Tom Posted July 17, 2010 Backroom Posted July 17, 2010 Brets gone again now, there was some issues over his life cover being invalidated if he carried on with the WWE. I wish he didn't come back it was hard seeing him like that copmared to how he was. Incidentally one of the biggest new stars in WWE, Wade Barrett, is a Lancashire lad, Preston I think.
Dunnfc Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Does anyone watch Lee Nelson's well good show and what do you think of it, caught it the first time the other night on BBC 3 and found it a bit cheap and tasteless myself.

Typical BBC 3 comedy to be honest. How that channel survived the budget cuts there and and 6 Music didn't, I will never know.
Ozz Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 6Music was reprieved Chuck. Asian Network still gets the chop though. Lee Nelson show is rubbish TBF.
Flopsy Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 There is nothing on BBC 3 that couldn't either be on bbc2 or 1 or get axed
LeChuck Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 6Music was reprieved Chuck. Asian Network still gets the chop though. Lee Nelson show is rubbish TBF. Really? I haven't followed that story for a while, that's cheered me up.
Ozz Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 BBC Trust Statement BBC 6 Music: is its reprieve a triumph for social media? Second link specially for TND-the power of Social Networking!
Doaksie Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Mitchell and Webb look - awful It's strange, as I absolutely love Peep Show, and always have done, but their sketch shows seem to be very hit and miss. I suppose that is the case with most sketch shows, but I just seem to find it a bit of a let down whenever I watch it. Much like the Mitchell & Webb Situation was too. Seems a bit too repetitive. If you like Robert Webb, give Smoking Room a try.
Neil Weaver Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Was dreading seeing Shooting Stars when it came back about a year(?) ago, what with being away for so long and Reeves/Mortimer having put on a few years. But was very pleasantly surprised and am glad to see another series just started. Marvellously daft, funny watching Jack Dee trying to keep a straight face.

Mitchell & Webb didn't write Peep Show they just starred in it (although they did add some contributions) which is probably why.

den Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Anyone see Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz doing the "stars in a reasonably priced car" thingy, on Top Gear? Thought it was great TV. Pretty good drivers those two as well.

Presty On Tour Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'm guessing that if they can get Diaz and Cruise on the show, surely Hammond's wish of Angelina Jolie may come true before the series is out. Diaz and Cruise were in the UK promoting their film and i'm pretty sure Jolie will be over here promoting Salt in the near future.

Top Gear had somebody else lined up for the Star In The Reasonably Price Car, but Cruise and Diaz expressed an interest in appearing on the show. so the BBC really couldn't turn that down.
American Rover12 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 That senna piece was fantastic Absolute class. I was just saying last night watching it how no matter how popular and known the show gets, it's still hard core race features like that, that keep the show fresh and enjoyable.

With all the reported BBC cuts for programmes like Top Gear, it was certainly a cheap way to fill the last 10 minutes.
