Just finished watching The Wire. Brilliant stuff, best TV series I've ever seen. Had heard good things and decided to get the box set. If anyone wants a decent tv show to watch for a good month or two, get this. You will be entertained.

Heard a few times over the past years that it was fine TV. Then it finally got shown on non-satellite TV about 18 months ago. By far the best thing I've seen on telly for years. Gripping, don't think I missed an episode (and was shown for about 6 months! Took a bit of diary manipulation!) and got the box set a few months ago to revisit the whole shooting match. Trouble is, once I get watching I know I'll just have to watch another episode then another...... Only found out since that quite a few of the main characters are British actors, though would never have guessed.

DEXTER back tonight FXUK

And it was back with a bang, how creepy was John Lithgow or whatever he's called, he scared me years ago in Santa clause the movie as well.

Still wish Doakes was alive instead of the other meathead.

Anyone watch never mind the buzzcocks with that twonk from n dubz on, i always thought he should be brutally raped by a gorilla but seeing him on that makes me think that would be to nice.maybe they should just glue some earphones to his head and force him to listen to one of his albums.

It summed up his crap stand up routine very well.

Absolute garbage, his last tour and the bungalow one before could fill any venue, any capacity. He makes people of all ages smile, just look at the box office receipts.

Even in this clip Roger and Brian do the 'Radio GaGa' clap

Don't tell me, guessing you're a mighty boosh type ? They're as funny as a burning orphanage

"Are you northern? Did you grow up in the 80's? Do you have some sort of working class upbringing?" That's about 90% of Peter Kaye's material, and since I grew up in Germany, and Hong Kong in reasonable comfort, I can't relate to it. I like his non-stand up stuff, Phoenix nights was great for example, but his stand up just makes me think of that other backwards looking twit who wallows in nostalgia-Justin Lee Collins.

And I do quite like the Mighty Boosh, but I think they got worse as the series rolled by. Black Books was occaisionally great, but Father Ted was a bit better. I also like Yes Minister, Police Squad, 15 Storeys High, South Park, The Day Today, Brass Eye, and Reeves and Mortimer. So which little pidgeon hole should I put myself in then Adopted Bin Dipper?

Had to watch that 101 ways to leave a gameshow. It was utter grabage. That Steve Jones is a nob, I hated how it took an age to answer one question in that irritating way that TV shows pause for 4 hours to try and manufacture tension. And finally, it was just a crap, overblown gimmick.

Did anyone watch the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on BBC tonight?

A song was sung and its theme reminded me of another song.

It wasn't "I vow to thee my country". It was earlier than that.

It sounded like the John Dunbar theme from Dances with Wolves or Once Upon a Time in the West by Ennio Morricone.

Can anyone help?

Is this the best the Beeb could offer? Not that I was ever a huge fan of Jonathan Ross' show, but I could stomach it if I was at a loose end. Norton's show is just awful though.

I finally got round to watching Grandma's House last night (Simon Amstell's sitcom), and I'm very disappointed. I was expecting it be much edgier given how he was on NMTB, but it looked like he had used a barely modified My Family script.

There haven't been any decent new comedies around for ages now. I've decided I'm going to revisit Flight of the Conchords and Arrested Development instead. Might even squeeze League of Gentlemen in if there is still nothing new worth watching.

I went through that series (the entire run of the show, not just one season) all last summer. Absolutely amazing. How far in are you?

I've only seen the miniseries so far. I await season 1 in the post.

Is it essential to watch the other miniseries, namely Razor, The Plan etc.?

Don't worry, when I take power Norton will the first up again the wall!
