gumboots Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Anyone else watching The Event? Just seen ep. 3, seems OK so far. Watched the first 2 when they ran and have skyplussed the other 2. Downton Abbey has been superb. Hope it's not too long before the next series starts.
sleepyjack Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Season two of Eastbound and Down just ended here in the US. Quality dipped for two or three episodes, but then it soared like an eagle back to the peak of the comedy television mountain.
Backroom Tom Posted November 8, 2010 Backroom Posted November 8, 2010 Not ashamed to say I watched Corrie tonight and it was bloody brilliant, end of an era.
Mc Love Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Season two of Eastbound and Down just ended here in the US. Quality dipped for two or three episodes, but then it soared like an eagle back to the peak of the comedy television mountain. Love Eastbound and Down, that midget from Mumbai was frikkin hilarious
dave birch Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Just watched the start of a repeat of "The Edge of Darkness". Must have been in the early 80's or so. Stars Bob Peck and the delectable Johanna Whalley, (but only for a short while). An absolute thriller, with some stunning guitar work by Clapton himself. Looking forward to Tuesday nights for the next few weeks. Probably more gripping than Life on Mars.
sloth_frattelli Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Last night on telly I watched... Gillian McKeith 'faint' after sharing a coffin with some rats. Brilliant, I hate her.
Backroom Tom Posted November 16, 2010 Backroom Posted November 16, 2010 Get used to endless months of royal wedding preperation and comparisons of Diana and this Kate. I did like Williams line though 'I took her up somewhere nice in Kenya and then proposed' Well she sounds like a keeper
Nelsta Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Just got hold of the first season of East Bound and Down. Also has anybody seen the us comedy the league? heard good things about it.
ABBEY Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 teaching hands cut off ,feet cut off, stoning, shoving people off cliffs......such nice teachings and people.
MarkBRFC71 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Been watching Eastbound And Down season 2. Kenny Powers is a legend - 'there's no 'I' in team, but there is a 'U' in c**t.' Also started watching The Trip which is very subtle and understated but very funny, episode 2 much more than the first IMO.
Amo Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Also started watching The Trip which is very subtle and understated but very funny, episode 2 much more than the first IMO. Money for old rope. Bessie mates Coogan & Brydon sitting around, eating at fancy restaurants, being themselves.
Ozz Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 1. Coronation Street. This is the only soap I watch, mainly cos my 2 YO son loves it, and even sings to the theme tune, and goes Miaow when the Ginger Tom cat jumps down the roof in the title sequence. Anyway, I am really enjoying the current Tram crash story, and many relationship issues it is running. 2. How Not To Live Your Life. Best program on telly right now. This weeks epeisode was as funny as it gets, esp the Lethal Weapon bit. BBC3. 3. I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Won by Stacey Solomon, who I'm told was in X Factor. If her personality is truly as portrayed in the jungle then she is a remarkable woman. Never ever moaned once and was constantly laughing and smiling. And any Celeb Reality TV show that lets someone who once sang `JESUS IS A C**T` last the distance and come second is OK with me!
Amo Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 2. How Not To Live Your Life. Best program on telly right now. Oh. Dear.

Yes the special effects were rather terrible (why did the tram make the sound of a dinosaur when it crashed?!) and the acting is wooden at times but it has been very good.
DanLad Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Corrie has been brilliant this week. Yes the special effects were rather terrible (why did the tram make the sound of a dinosaur when it crashed?!) and the acting is wooden at times but it has been very good. Trams are made out of dinosaurs and actors are made out of mahogany. FACT.
Backroom Tom Posted December 8, 2010 Backroom Posted December 8, 2010 Corrie has been brilliant this week. Yes the special effects were rather terrible (why did the tram make the sound of a dinosaur when it crashed?!) and the acting is wooden at times but it has been very good. Although the effects weren't great they were good for British TV, I thought the noise was about right, the sound of twisting metal. This week has been great
LeChuck Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Oh. Dear. It's been a while since I +1ed you!
Ozz Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 It's a guilty pleasure then it appears. Can I say I like Him And Her then instead? Will that meet with group approval? Will that get me a +1 Le Chuck?
LeChuck Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Sorry that wasn't meant to be a dig at you, just joking with Topman as we don't often agree recently. I haven't seen Him And Her by the way.
Nelsta Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Him and Her is good, Aside from family guy repeats it's probably the only thing worth watching on BBC3...Plus becky is rather tasty.
JC4LAB Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Miranda is a good series...also liked Steve Coogans the Trip which finished last week
USRoverME Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I think this is just a USA show only, but My wife and I love watching "the sing off"... sort of like American Idol, but with more talented signers, less care about needing beauty model looks to be a star, no instruments, and much much much better songs. Its not everyone's cup of tea musically, but if you like music, its a decent listen (except for the pussycat doll co-host/judge. She's paula abdul with less sense, but the other 2 judges are great Shawn Stockman of Boyz2Men, and Ben Folds.
