RevidgeBlue Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Oh God...hear we go. Aachen all over again. What, where, when, spill the beans! (Apologies if everyone else has heard it)
Jordan Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 What, where, when, spill the beans! (Apologies if everyone else has heard it) Nothing really, Its just I asked this Aachen fan how old he thought I was and he said about 35. For the following week all I had was the urine extracted out of me by SteB etc. He acts about 4.5 though. Thanks mate, I knew I could depend on you.
stuwilky Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 For the following week all I had was the urine extracted out of me by SteB etc. SteB took the ######? Isnt he 55?
Jordan Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 SteB took the ######? Isnt he 55? What 55 Stone? Don't think so.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 After that comic interlude, back on topic. if I can remember back to the days when we still had fans forums it was stated that the new system would stop adult fans sneaking through on concessions because of the different flashing lights etc. **It obviously isn't working ** because stewards aren't being vigilant or assertive enough. Certainly on my entrance for JW upper there is rarely a steward or stewards in a position to be able to see the lights on the turnstiles. **Not referring to Jordan there**
stuwilky Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 rev, I think it differs on the area, mrs wilky, myself and junior stuwilky always have our tickets checked, and on the one occasion junior and mrs went in before me (with my ticket leaving me with the junior) I was made to ring her and get her to come down with child and said tickets...
Paul Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 They are on the inside of the turnstile, above the wall. So anyone who can see them from outside has x ray vision. On our turnstile there is a light mounted on top of the card reader.
stuwilky Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 On our turnstile there is a light mounted on top of the card reader. There is another (and the inside wall) which indicates the category of ticket.
MCMC1875 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I think the current turnstile design makes it easier for ticketless visitors to get in, with or without bribing stewards to turn a blind eye. This would contribute to mass standing in the Darwen End when gates are big.
