blue/white Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Brillant jackhammer of a header, Gamst !!!
James No. 7 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 It's nice to see headers on the end of crosses.
Mr. E Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 pretty non-eventful first half, we've definitely been the better team though and deserve the lead
Lathund Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Tugay has been brilliant, I don't think he lost the ball once. He always gives 100%, regardless of the circumstances, but I think it's rather clear he much prefers conditions like today rather than the soaked pitches we've seen over the past month.
Rovermatt Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Great goal by MGP. Bentley and Tugay are playing out of their skins.
Robin Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 to be honest...were is the man c team today!!?!?!? They doesnt seem to be intressted in playing football...
budha Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Tugay has been brilliant, I don't think he lost the ball once. He always gives 100%, regardless of the circumstances, but I think it's rather clear he much prefers conditions like today rather than the soaked pitches we've seen over the past month. It also helps him a lot that City doesn't start defending before their own third. This gives him more time and space in the middle third. As our attacking four (Gamst, Bentley, Nonda and McCarthy) is quite slow, the time and space are vital for him to be as effective as today.
Esulx Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 When is this contract extension happening for Toogs. He's having the time of his life at the moment. "Bad news from the City of Manchester Stadium, Andre Ooijer has a suspected broken ankle and he has gone to hospital for x-rays."
budha Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Atleast I haven't see any confirmation on an extension, so I think it'll expire next summer.
Finch Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Ooijer has a suspected broken ankle Edit: too slow Esulx beats me to it again!
Oklahoma Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Now, Benni will score the second. I'm watching the game. Thanks PTholt.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Commentator syaing Ooijer has suspected broken ankle
budha Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Ashton broke his ankle at August and is still out. So I guess the worst case scenario is out for the season then
Quack Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Yellow card Henchoz - nasty late challenge on Beasley
Esulx Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 50 min: Beasley gets badly flattened by a late tackle from Henchoz, who is rightfully shown a yellow card. 51 min: Well that was a nice 'welcome to England' for the American international, who has joined City on loan from PSV Eindhoven. He should be okay to continue though.
Finch Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 City are putting us under pressure. Benni misses the chance of a break away goal
James No. 7 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 That foul looked to be paid against Nonda because the City crowd would have been livid. He barely did anything wrong and was through. Hughes was livid instead.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 City coming back into it and creating chances, were giving away too many free kicks and 3 of our back 4 now on yellow cards
Esulx Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 That's 3 of our four defenders booked now with McEveley and Emerton joining Henchoz on yellows. "61 min: Dunne goes in the book for taking out Pedersen as the winger tries to get past him. Things are getting a bit heated now and Savage has that grin on his face." - oh dear...
Jimmy Jupiter Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Good old Gamst, where's his doubters now?
Finch Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 MGP 2-0 what a goal this is going to boost his confidence
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Pedersen showing what he is capable of, a fantastic goal
