Cotterill turned down 3 clubs according to Toytown newspaper. Morecambe, Stevenage and Rovers Ladies. He's lying about the last one. Firstly he's not good enough and secondly they wouldn't have gone for him. :brfc:

Just a thought following all the Falklands stuff on tv lately. Even then, a quarter of a century ago, Burnley hadn't beaten us for three years. It'll be 28 years on 14th of this month. :brfc:

Would you go as far as to say Doowe is one step up from a happy slapper? Anyway, Doowe blew it. If he was able to cut down Cotterill with his wit, but instead called him a Dingle b_stard and then didn't come up with anything when Cotterill said he knew his dad. A remark on a par with Yes Minister was needed at such a golden opportunity.

Good Q and A from QEGS teacher Dave Edmundson at the end of that piece:

"It would be an awesome prospect to be in the Premiership. Why can't we? We are Burnley."

Correct answer. Being Burnley is the perfect reply if asked anyone asks why they cannot be in the Premiership.

Not that it is a prospect for the dingles, awesome or otherwise.
