West Sussex Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 My god if we loose Savage, that means we have lost 3 captains in the space of 4 days... Amazingly bad luck!!

USRoverME Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 If that's the case (sav's leg being broken), Dunny better get fit in a hurry, and Toogs had best be stunningly in shape for the run-in!
herbergeehh Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Savage didn't look bothered until he tried to stand up after the challenge.. a bit like Reid for the reserves last year. Absolute disaster if he's out, we need a FIT loan signing asap!
spanishblue Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Oh bugger, sounds like a nightmare. I have no access to commentary over here and was waiting to watch on Sky at 11pm (our time) Are we really that bad?????
Kremmin Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Would hate to see our record against the League's bottom club in recent years. Suspect we'd have picked up more points against whoever's top.
blue/white Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Wow... if Savage has indeed a broken leg.... that's horrible! a broken leg at his age is tantamount to Oijer's broken ankle, no? These are both fairly serious injuries for players in their early 30's. Sh*te!
West Sussex Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Bright side - the window is still open. Bright side - This is our game in hand so worst that can happen is we stay where we are, 10th
brfc_jonesy Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 hate to say it but if savage is as bad as feared looks like hendrie might be a possible replacement seems as we're linked with him....DAMN!
1864roverite Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Sounds a very poor effort by everyone in a Rovers shirt and we deserve our defeat. I genuinely feel sorry for the supporters who have travelled to Watofrd and face a harsh journey home after watching the tripe served up tonight. We have missed chances and given two daft goals away. It sounds like a serious lack of creativity and picking up of two more injuries with Savage and McCarthy. Note that Rovers play Bolton at LFA HQ Leyland, nelsen, Roberts and Jeffers all down to play. ko 7pm
Lathund Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Bentley was good, so was Zurab and Pedersen was pretty good as well. Other than that there wasn't much to cheer about. What is it with us and ###### teams from the south east?
Paul Mellelieu Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 With these injuries it could be season over.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I cant put into words how f'kin frustrated I am at this pathetic result, another broken leg?...WTF!!!!!!!!!! WE CANT DEFEND SET PIECES FOR LOVE OR MONEY.
Radagast Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I'm not even faintly surprised by the result, I'd been discounting the game in hand as an advantage to us from the minute it got postponed. If Savage has indeed been seriously injured then it really just is the icing on the crap.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I was worried about us defending set pieces and long balls and tonight it appears to have been proved. So friggin annoyed...why do we always lose to such cack teams?
tchocky Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Damn that was a @#/? performance. Gutted! I just have to list these absentees for my own sanity: - Dunn - Nelsen - Warnock - Todd - Neill - Roberts - Jeffers - Reid - Tugay - Gray - Ooijer - McCarthy (sort of) - Savage (sort of)
Daje Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Worst I've seen in a long long time Hope Savages injury is not as bad as it seems, we're already short of central mids. Why do we have to play these relegation candidates?
Kremmin Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Bentley was good, so was Zurab and Pedersen was pretty good as well. Other than that there wasn't much to cheer about. What is it with us and ###### teams from the south east? And another around the corner ... Luton!
Bobby G Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Big blow and as usual we are the team to break peoples ducks. Watfords second win of the season and obviously we were on the receiving end. We were poor from start to finish except for the first 15 or so minutes of the second half until Benni went off. Everyone was poor other than Zurab and Bentley. Below par and we undid the hard work at the City game. We have now lost to each of the bottom three away from home and drawn at Sheff Utd, so thats an awful record without which we could have easily been about 6-7 points better off. Injury to Savage looked bad and I fear the worst and we would need a good defensive midfielder and Im sure Hendrie isnt the answer. I must mention that Bert had a stinker and so did Mokoena and Nonda was back to his worst.
sambo Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Nonda Is Crap Disgraceful, players should be ashamed. Absolute inept @#/?$
Mr. E Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 back to the market, Sparky. We need a good central mid or we're dead. Absolutely gutted for Savage and McCarthy.
James No. 7 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I'm not even faintly surprised by the result, I'd been discounting the game in hand as an advantage to us from the minute it got postponed. Aye, some people were already counting it as three points, or if not were basically counting on it. Hell no. Bentley has been by far our best player. We have been let down by not passing the ball around. Watford have done their homework by exposing us at set pieces and via the long ball. It's a deserved victory for them.
