T4E Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 If he has three legs then that's surely a bonus Just ask Brad. Our mates are RAWK seem to be disappointed - http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=161358.0

Fife Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Waste of money when we've got Michael Gray and Jay Mceveley You forgot the at the end there; didn't you? Only 5 to go!
Fife Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 And his first (and only) goal for Liverpool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEWgd-xsM88 While you are on this link, just have a look at the one entitled "Savage Hurts" Only 4 to go!!
Ricky Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I've noticed a few people having a little go at Warnock about comments he made last year about wanting to stay at Liverpool. You might want to read the article below, he worked out ok in the end didn't he Rovers a step down
gumboots Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I've noticed a few people having a little go at Warnock about comments he made last year about wanting to stay at Liverpool. You might want to read the article below, he worked out ok in the end didn't he Rovers a step down funny to see that now. As someone else said players say a lot of stuff just because they think it's what the fans want to hear. The interview with Warnock on roversworld has him saying he took no real persuading to come to us, presumably because it's now a done deal and he wants to please us not them. If he'd said after the summer, when he didn't move " Oh I couldn't wait for the phone to ring because I really want to join Rovers" that wouldn't have sat very well with Liverpool fans.
gazsimm Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 good signing a lot of liverpool fans who i know him rate him very high and can't understand why he has been sold. The only doubts i have his is fitness, due to lack of games he has played in the last couple of seasons
Wild Irish Rover Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I guess we should trust Sparky's judgement, which has been 100% positive and to the benefit of the club so far. Like Dunny, I think it will take time for Warnock to reach the required level of physical fitness even before he is considered a prospect for first team action. Hughesey doesn't usually drop new players straight into the gray, except, of course, where he has had a chance to observe and calibrate them e.g. McCarthy in pre-season. I think Warnock will be an asset to the club and will go on to become a favourite with many.
LeftWinger Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 While you are on this link, just have a look at the one entitled "Savage Hurts" Only 4 to go!! Only 4 to go? Hope this isn't some kind of prophecy regarding more broken legs!
Fife Rover Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 What's with the countdown, Fife? Aha! All will be revealed when we get there. Say no more. Aaargghhh!!! That's it now; in answering yours I inadvertantly reached the dreaded 1294. Now I will not be able to go on and post any more. Oh calamity!!
Wild Irish Rover Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Only 4 to go? Hope this isn't some kind of prophecy regarding more broken legs! That is just too spooky... you quote Fife Rover about 'Savage hurts', mention the legs thing and that evening.... Savage hurts..
rover6 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 He won Coventry player of the season a few years back as a left midfielder, i believe, but has suffered injury problems since. I hope he does prove a good signing because McEveley is not the future.
Daje Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Nice to read Bellamy was helpful in selling the club to Warnock
T4E Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 The lad says a lot of positive things about signing for Rovers, sounds like MH and co have done a great job selling the club to him.
vyeo Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 -He said: "On the last day of the transfer window at about 7pm I got a phone call saying get yourself to Blackburn. When that didn't happen I was a bit gutted, but I was still at Liverpool so it wasn't the end of the world.- quoted from above link Nice to see the 180 degree shift in attitude from warnock. Anyone remember the 'i was relieved that the phone never rang' comment? Liars liars... these players. On the other hand, you can call that being politically correct too
Daje Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I thought of that too, vyeo The past is the past and what counts is what he does from now on as a Rover, and at least he seems committed
Presty On Tour Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 it also says he is available for the uefa cup games even though he played in the champions league this season. tidy interview fairplay, hopefully he will have along and successful career with us.
Presty On Tour Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 wanted lucash's number 2 and ended up with 22 as uefa rules http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...~970376,00.html
rover6 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I thought of that too, vyeo The past is the past and what counts is what he does from now on as a Rover, and at least he seems committed Footy fans have long memories - when they want to.
LeChuck Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 No-one can blame Warnock for not wanting to leave Liverpool in the summer. Liverpool are his hometown club, he obviously desperately wanted to make there. This is nothing to do with not wanting to come to us, it wouldn't have mattered who it was, he just wanted to make it with the team he supports. Every single one of us would do the same if we were Rovers players and another Premiership club wanted to sign us.
Darwen Red Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I liked Warnock.....always preferred him to Riise as a defender. I think he'll do well (and from what I've read in the past re: Neill there's no love lost there!) He can do a job and I wouldn't be surprised if he pops up with a few goals too!
Presty On Tour Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 excellent debut for rovers today, well done lad!!! had pace, energy, looked solid in the tackle and linked up well with gamst. always looking to get forward and was the major factor in benni's goal. got tired towards the end which was natural with the lack of first team football he has had recently but overall i'm well impressed and he looks promising. lucash who???
herbergeehh Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Seconded. A good allround performance, he looked comfortable on the ball and despite not being pressured a lot down the flank looked composed in defence.
todd_could_take_tyson Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 You can definately see why warnock earned a england call up, no one mentioned his speed before he signed though, he looks one of our fastest players and very fast when running with the ball. Its a treat for us rovers fans having been used to static Gray in the past.
LWX Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 agreed...warnock was great today...but lets wait and see how he does against quality opposition.
