daren Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Ha, Sav's a legend. In the Sky commentary box, when they were doing the Ciiteh build up to the game he muttered loudly enough to be heard by everyone "Blackburn are playing too!" Gotta love that guy. Other noteworthy quotes: In response to what did he think of Brad he said "Let's just say I'm lucky enough to be sitting here beside the second best keeper to play for Blackburn" (sitting beside Tim Flowers!) In response to being asked did he feel sorry for the Citeh fans "No." Fantastic. He also got the screws out of his leg 4-5 weeks early. Was a really good build up actually, with Flowers and Savage, with really good banter.

Billy Castell Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 He was a laugh as a pundit. It seems he loves people bitching about him, and he plays up to that fact.

I thought it was great when they were talking about the semi final draw and he said I would be extremely unlikely for Rovers to draw Watford, implying that it was fixed.
Flopsy Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 his calling the semi draw a fix made me laugh, as did the quick scurrying by the Sky presenters to disprove it
cn174 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 his calling the semi draw a fix made me laugh, as did the quick scurrying by the Sky presenters to disprove it Soon cut to an ad break after that one
Guest shoppybrfc Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Cant see him scoring the chance the Axe did today though...
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Tim flowers face looked like at smacked arse after the match...remember where your championship medal came from son!
Billy Castell Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I think the phrase i "sh_t we've been rumbled". Someone recently said they used to steal the numbered ball and put it in boiling water so they could find it when they were drawing the teams. Who was that?
Cocker Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I am quite glad in a way - means he wont be rushed back now into a game where he isnt match fit - which could have been the cup final
1864roverite Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Hard luck story after what was really a bloody horrendous tackle
frosty Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Bad news, I was hoping for him to be fit pretty soon because the centre midfield when Savage and Reid are out is pretty weak.
pick32 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 think if savage doesnt recovery fully from this injury that giles barnes would be an excellent signing he is only 18 years old and he has playes 27 games for derby this season scoring 8 goals.
emglch Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Mr Savage, if you are reading this. rovers miss your tackling really badly. look at the form since your injury. we simply can't stop the opponents going down the middle and taking on the back 4. As a result, brad are making more wonder saves and conceding more goals. I really pray this season won't be one to forget.

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 That's in spite of having 4 at the back and 2 sat right in front of them !
thenodrog Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 There are some on here that are already saying it is! Thats only cos they are behaving like spoilt brats and have the memory span of goldfish Fife.
den Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Thats only cos they are behaving like spoilt brats and have the memory span of goldfish Fife. Well, I wouldn't have used those words Theno, but some of the adverse comments are quite astounding.
Hanks Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 just watching the darts on sky and phil the power taylor won his semi. after the game taylor expressed concern at robbie's bad leg and hoped he would be fit this season
brfc fan Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 just watching the darts on sky and phil the power taylor won his semi. after the game taylor expressed concern at robbie's bad leg and hoped he would be fit this season Is he a Rovers fan?! I had no idea. He can't be, surely. He would have said?
Roar of the Rover Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 just watching the darts on sky and phil the power taylor won his semi. after the game taylor expressed concern at robbie's bad leg and hoped he would be fit this season Why? Does he know him or summat?
brfc fan Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 That's really weird. He's not a Blackburn fan and he's not Welsh. I don't think he knows him that well. Why did he say a random thing like that?
Hanks Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 could be that robbie is a big darts fan and knows him that way. someone did post a link of a darts match being disrupted by the crowd barracking robbie during a game.
The Mercenary Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Phil Taylor is big mates with Robbie, he's worn "Savage power" on the back of his shirt a few times in the premier league darts this year instead of the usual "the power"
modes98 Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 yeah from wha ti understand they are friends and Mr Savage often attends the darts. Seen him a fair few times on premier league darts since his broken leg.
