Ozz Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 He's so good, Adidas have even made a ball in his honour.

Mr. E Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Samba and Nelson are now I firmly believe one of the top best center-back duos in the premiership. What a change from 2-3 years ago when teams could regularly park a truck through our defence!
ihateburnley Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 He's good, but he's no Steve Harkness or Darren Peacock. That takes years of legendary performances.
brfc fan Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Samba boost It was a bit more than just "caught". But it's good to hear that he's been sitting up and chatting.
Daremz Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 He'll be back to face Pompey, might miss the midweek game but that's not as important as the league for me. Chris=legend.
philipl Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Great article about Samba and Mark Hughes.
Hughesy Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Its about time this man got his own chant at ewood. Any ideas? Just a 1st try here! Chris Samba is a 7ft Man Get Past him if you fookin can Try a trick and he’l make you look a prick Big Chris Samba! or: You are my Samba, The Super Samba You make me happy, when skies are grey Coz Fooking Rio, cost 30 times more dinero You can’t take the Samba away!
Ozz Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hughesy-you're going back on ignore for that!
Presty On Tour Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 it looks as though samba is as popular with the players as he is with the fans. players delaying the plane for an hour for him when the rest of the team could have easily buggered off home is a tidy example of the team spirit in the camp.
LeChuck Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 It's a good example presty, a GOOD example.
Finch Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere, but Samba won't be going to Greece to play in the Uefa cup match. Not a big surprise and I have to say I'm relieved. Can't imagine any player would be up for a match after what happened on Sunday.
BlueMonday Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 it looks as though samba is as popular with the players as he is with the fans. players delaying the plane for an hour for him when the rest of the team could have easily buggered off home is a tidy example of the team spirit in the camp. Or they were too scared to leave him behind. "No, YOU tell him he's got to catch the train back"
bellamy11 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hughesy, what is the fascination with putting the bizarre word "fookin" into all of your songs? The first one is the Jaap Stam song. In fact, most of your songs are Utd songs.
AndyC Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hughesy-you're going back on ignore for that!
thenodrog Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 From last season These should be adopted and amended to suit if we had any quality songsters behind the goals ....... "He's 6ft 5 Hughesy said Sambas feet stick out the bed" Reminds me of a bloody good day out.... apart from the result that is. and this is a lasting reminder of one absolutely brilliant away trip. Rather than copy other clubs anthems proper amended versions of these would be the sole posession of our club and a lasting legacy of the season just gone.
Oakland Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Blackburn to hand Samba bumper new deal ...and NO clause, please!
Hughesy Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Because if i put the word as it should be spelt then it gets removed! Unfortunatly United tend to create the best songs. Although your contribution is welcome......... Hughesy, what is the fascination with putting the bizarre word "fookin" into all of your songs? The first one is the Jaap Stam song. In fact, most of your songs are Utd songs.
philipl Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Blackburn to hand Samba bumper new deal I read that and thought it referred to the lump on his head.... Anyway, the new contract is richly deserved even if it comes with Shevchenko's boot imprint.
Hughesy Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Offer the lad a big deal like Spurs do with the youngsters - like a 6 year deal, no clauses, just offer him enough cash to sign it!!
Ozz Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 and this is a lasting reminder of one absolutely brilliant away trip. Nice one Theno. Got goose bumps watching that Koln one again, fantastic memories of a few days of joy, in what was a world of crud for me then. Cheers.
B.R.F.C Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 So we're losing him for the African Nations then. I thought he qualified to play for France. Oh well. Whilst doing a bit of browsing yesterday I noticed the African Nations qualifying had come to a close. South Africa qualified but thankfully Congo didn't and so Samba won't be taken away from us during the African Cup of Nations in the New Year. Good news
gumboots Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Question's probably been asked and answered somewhere else, so apologies if it has, but is there any video of his run and shot against Birmingham. It wasn't shown on MOTD (surprise, surprise) and doesn't seem to be in the Rovers highlights unless I missed it.
Fife Rover Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Blackburn to hand Samba bumper new deal ...and NO clause, please! Awww! No Samba Clause this year!
