krislu Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Henchoz on his arse again, 3-1. I think we are in for more..
Mr. E Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 what the hell are we doing ?? Instead of bringing the ball forward we're passing it around our penalty area* or trying to dribble past 3 Bajern players, ofcourse they'll score. What the hell are doing, we're an absolute circus in defence. clowns.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 David Dunn finally off. Like T'Axe and Tugay he's been atrocious tonight.
USABlue Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Lunch time here, just popped in to check the score. Wish I hadn't. Still wasn't expecting much so no biggy. Same/similar thing Saturday methinks
G Somerset Rover Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Comon lads lets show some urgency! 3-1 is no good with our defence.
James No. 7 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Leverkusen is all over us at the moment. They have been for just about all of this half.
johnny boy Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 3-2 Nonda! Now for soodness sake don't concede a fourth! I'll take 3-2 gladly at this stage.
Derby Blue Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Somehow, we have a chance in this game now - despite a lack lustre performance. 2 away goals and the bonus that Axe misses the next game through suspension!
Ste B Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 thats a massive goal there. the away goals could well decide this tie. crowd here lifted no end. could make for a good night at ewood.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Blackburn Rovers, hang your heads in shame. What a woeful, woeful performance. Leverkeusen were there for the taking and we mailed it in.
johnny boy Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Somehow, we have a chance in this game now - despite a lack lustre performance. 2 away goals and the bonus that Axe misses the next game through suspension! I'm inclined to agree with you there Mansfield Blue.
blue/white Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Me two, Mansfield. Addition by subtraction. BTW: nice avatar: Say hello to my little friend!
Presty On Tour Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 the difference between the 2 sides were that they took their chances and we didn't. if roberts had scored early doors, we could have handed out a pasting. nonda's goal imo was vital, 2 away goals and now only 1 behind. bring on ewood.
Mr. E Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Nonda just saved our chances at the end, but once again McCarthy screwed up a glorious opportunity to level things. Instead of passing it to Peter who was in acres of space on the left with not e defender around, a certain 1on1 with the keeper, he passes it to the right where 2 defenders are guarding the same player.
Dan Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Got out of Jail. How bad is the five commentary?! Any chance of Gamst coming back, at least his corners are just poor and not woeful!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 GAME ON BOYS 'N' GIRLS!!!!! BUT ...... Far too many players did not contribute enough for me tonight...Tugay,Dunn(clearly not match fit and should not have played!)and the awful Roberts the main culprits.Nonda should have started and must for the second leg!. So 1-0 is all we need at home.....Ewood should be packed and rocking!
modes98 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Can't believe we lost that. 3 awful goals, each one should have been avoided and that doesn't mention the countless chances we missed. Still in the game which is what counts. Dunn played ok but is not a left winger, he should have been in the centre. Jason was so off the pace it was unbelieveable and why the hell hughes pciks Henchoz above todd or Zurab i will never know. The guy commits fouls and lets players run for fun! The second leg is ours for the taking judging upon this performance. At least MGP is back!
Claytons Left Boot Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I'll take a 3-2 defeat.......just. Virtually the same as 1-1 as a 1-0 win at Ewood will take us through.
Dan Furness Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Some dodgy defending throughout, and the urgency I anticipated 2nd half never materialised. Bentley was superb throughout but I do question his choice of shooting when Nonda scored rather than chipping over to the back post. And before anyone says anything about it, watch his technique he clearly is drilling a shot across goal. We got a goal from it though so all is said and done, his crossing is getting more impressive all the time. Central midfield has to be a major worry, not just for the replay but for the coming weeks. We're allowing too many teams to play a lot of the ball infront of the defence. Tugay's not got a defensive bone in his body and Mokoena hasn't got a possesional bone in his!!!
