Oklahoma Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I finished 7th, one place higher than last season. Anyone up for a fantasy NHL league?
Presty On Tour Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Anyone up for a fantasy NHL league? i'll be up for that
Kandevil Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sweet another BRFCS fantasy trophy to add to the cabinet. Won the NHL 2005 too, that was a lot easier than this one though. Scraping through the semi & the final both on 5-5 splits with a lower ERA against two teams that were better than mine, one for the underdog!
Mc Love Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I guess there are more baseball fans here than on the official rovers boards. I was in Boston recently and i was captivated by the passion shown by Bostonians. So GO SOX and Yankees SUCK
Eddie Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Yeah well there's a lot more passion in Boston since they won the world series. They are good fans when they are winning.
American Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Boston fans are the most whiny, obnoxious fans in the world. They never lose because they suck, it's always a curse, or a conspiracy by the officials/league/announcers. And when they win it's even worse. Nobody believed in us (even though 90% of people picked you). Now that they have a couple of good teams, they think that people hate them because they are good. No, we hate them because the fans are obnoxious a-holes...
Eddie Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 At least they can't talk about the curse as much anymore.
rog of the rovers Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 I think that some in the Red Sox nation were disappointed when they won in 2004 as the biggest reason for them being everyones second team was the curse, this sympathy vote must now go to Cubs fans! 100 years without a World Series win! Well done to the Rockies 3-0 up! Despite being a Dodgers fan I want them to win the title, either them or the Indians, and I want to see tears from Manny, possibly the most over rated player in baseball.
ABBEY Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 im a db fan becaue ive seen them a couple of times and fell in love but ,even tho were in the same division,I have naturally a soft spot for all thing from col. rockies...GOOD LUCK!!!!! IM ON THE BANDWAGON
Mc Love Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Sox are fecked! Unless beckett performs a miracle!
rog of the rovers Posted October 21, 2007 Author Posted October 21, 2007 Come on Indians!! We don't want the hard luck Sox winning it again! They've had their time, let the Rox have theirs!!!
Mc Love Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I guess the tribe lost then haha! C'Mon Sox!!
Roaming Rover Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 GO SOX GO Need some sleep after last nights action.....................err, the Baseball action, obviously
BRFC4EVA Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Fantastic Mr Sox!! I knew that as soon as Becket won to make it 3-2 and take it back to 'the nation' there was only ever gonna be 1 winner
rog of the rovers Posted October 26, 2007 Author Posted October 26, 2007 Come on Rockies we don't want the new evil empire winning again. What will Red Sox nation have to moan about if they win again?
Roaming Rover Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Get in, what a weekend. Rovers get 3 points away at the spuds and the Sox smash the Rockies to clain the 2007 World Series!!!! Now I can get a full nights sleep......................!!
rog of the rovers Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 Boring series for the neutral, but well done Boston.
Eddie Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 It was rather handed to them in the end. Shame to see a world series like that.
Roaming Rover Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I agree it wasn't the best for a neutral (or Rockies fan ) but I could not have coped with getting up in the middle of the night for any more games, so was more than happy to win in 4!!!
rog of the rovers Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 Torre new Dodgers manager! Lets go Dodgers
philipl Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 We thought we had a problem with lack of reading and general knowledge, but we can always reassure ourselves that America is worse off. Just listen to this. Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, due to play against the New York Giants at London’s Wembley Stadium a couple of weeks ago, admitted to Sky News that he didn’t know people speak English in London. Crowder, who is from Atlanta, Georgia, said he didn’t know where London is. “I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,” he said. “I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that. I know London Fletcher. We did football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name.”
USRoverME Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 NFL athletes are not the brigthest bunch (probably all the repeated ramming of your head into another's protective equipment) and Crowder is known to be a "wild man" which, in the NFL, typically means, he's too stupid to realize something might hurt him, so he still does it.
