Rovermatt Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I'm thinking of trading in my Xbox for a 360. I just need to know can I still play my original Xbox games on the newer console?

G Somerset Rover Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilityqa.htm This site should help you buddy-but I think that the majority of Xbox games are playable on the 360.
Eddie Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 A good number are, at least probably the ones that you want. All you have to do is get hooked up to xbox live and it should install the updates when you put the game in.
heapbag Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 And as I somewhat eluded to on another thread, you need the HDD to be able to play original Xbox games.
Shevchenko Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 And as I somewhat eluded to on another thread, you need the HDD to be able to play original Xbox games. What? No you don't.
Rovermatt Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Never mind. The deal in the shop around the corner related to a trade-in of every conceivable console save for the Xbox. @#/?s.
Eddie Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 What? No you don't. You do. Without the hdd you can't save the upgrades for the games.
Shevchenko Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Oh crap yeah you're right. I misread that as an High def add on instead of hard disc.
Dan Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Bear in mind, that if you are using VGA to connect to your TV/monitor 'some' Xbox games won't run, namely Halo 2 and Fable. I think this is to do with some games being locked in 50 hz and VGA being 60hz only or summit.
