waggy Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 whilst on the subject did anyone see the quotes in the telegraph from rovers and burnley fans, [ WE ARE GOING DOWN, S.CUMLEY
waggy Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 had my 1st quote £55 a head, not bad as lens is painfull-just a few coalmines and a great stadium
promoted2001 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Is it definetly Lens we play if we get through?
waggy Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 or panatanakos, but they are 3-1 down and have a ex dingle
ihtd Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 At that sort of price i would be very interested. Should we get through on Thursday, Waggy send me a PM with details and i'm sure i could get a few others that would be wanting to go to come.
brightonrover Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 If we do get through, do we know for sure whether or not we'll play away first or at home?
waggy Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 we are definatley away 1st,i have tried many ways off getting to france and coach looks the best,it will be like going to southend/brighton/plymouth in the 70's,midnight from foundry hill
boris bear Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 had my 1st quote £55 a head, not bad as lens is painfull-just a few coalmines and a great stadium Am I right in thinking the stadium is the one where the Manure debacle took place last night?
gumboots Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Yes, you are and although Lille are getting stick it's actually the police in Lens who over-reacted to events in the Man U end
Presty On Tour Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 i'd be definitely interested waggy mate.
waggy Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 SO far i have had one reply from a coach company, works out £55 for a full coach, but no smoking or alcohol but i'm sure we can manage 6hrs without a beer, just get lashed before hand
SAS Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 SO far i have had one reply from a coach company, works out £55 for a full coach, but no smoking or alcohol but i'm sure we can manage 6hrs without a beer, just get lashed before hand  i cant sorry but for me to be interested it has to be a non dry coach
bluebruce Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 If you could pick me up in Stoke, I'd be interested
CircoW Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I could potentially be interested, Waggy... if you could drop me on the M25 on the way back!
Jordan Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Someone else was talking about arranging a coach but I can't for the life of me remember who. Sounds like a good idea Waggy but I would rather go Tuesday to Friday and you can fly to Paris for next to nothing.
1864roverite Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 If we make it and it is Lens who we play, then the cost of travel will be minimal. A tank of petrol to Dover 40 quid then return 40 quid Return ferry 22 quid for car and 4 passengers 50 minute drive to Lens Match ticket 15-18 quid Between 4 persons approx 42-25 quid, a drink and a laugh rather than being cooped up like chickens on a coach !
Gav Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Between 4 persons approx 42-25 quid, a drink and a laugh rather than being cooped up like chickens on a coach ! Why bother posting then? this is a thread about going on a coach?
1864roverite Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 pointing out an alternative way of travelling and/or lesser costs if you didnt realise !
cravenblue Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 where actually is lens. is there an airport nearby?
Roost Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 where actually is lens. is there an airport nearby? Not far from Lille & Paris. Nearest airport flying from Manc/Lpool is Paris CDG. Waggy's coach is the future
mike at picture Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Isn't Lens a French version of a pre Thatcher Barnsley?
