NElsen? Hope he's not badly injured?

He had a prematch fitness test so I guess somekind of recurrence of the existing problem.. whatever it was?

FiveLive speculated it was a recurrence of the hamstring niggle he picked up against Bolton. What with his first-half booking, I guess he had to come off. But Zurab's a capable replacement.

The atmosphere sounds great, Rovers picking up the tempo after a probable ear-bashing at HT from Mark Hughes.

10 strong minutes directly after the break, Manchester City stronger now, but we might get some counter-football-space. This is tension.

Does anyone know why Pedersen seems to have been taken off set piece duty? Looks like Bentley is taking htem all now, with Tugay taking the occassional one.

Pedersen wins the ball and starts dribbling down the wing, only to get caught by Richards. Another yellow card. Manchester City are being stretched.

20 minutes. This is going to be a hell of a last period. Why Axe, WHY? Derbyshire off, Enckelman on. 2 goalies can save us.

Has Mike Dean forgotten Xmas with the amount of cards he's dishing out.

I'm out of nails to bite, anyone got any spare???

Posted

Pedersen got a card for no reason. City should have gotten three red cards if that is a yellow offence. Boos are ringing from three of the stands.

I suppose the ref decided before the game that it was gonna be too rough...rough games for other teams don't always mean this many cards..

I have this strange feeling the 1-1 is coming up, very soon now. Please...no...please...no. For once, let a red card don't break us down...

Dutch, keep those thoughts to yourself for now will you!!!

I'm sorry. Time ticking away, still into the last 4 like this...go Rovers!
