[Archived] Trouble In Germany

Recommended Posts

What happened shouldn't have happened thats simple enough, It looks bad on the club etc etc. God forbid this could be Lancs Constab trying to justify sending at least 6 officers all expenses paid etc to Germany for the week? To monitor so called Rovers Hooligans, (when was the last time there was trouble at Ewood) many of whom were out there with wives, girlfriends etc...

Completely agree!

And its for these reasons the Blackburn police unit have chosen to investigate the Leverkusen incident in order to justify their existence. They have nothing else to do. Cushiest job in the world getting all expenses paid trip to go Salzberg, Leverkusen, London or wherever rovers are playing to 'watch' a few lads drink in the pubs before matches. Resources would be better directed into tackling actual crime.

I dont condone the violence in Leverkusen and its not something i get involved in. At the same time I cant condone those who videoed it, and those who give names to the police, and enjoy and are proud of that. In my opinion, thats just as pathetic.

It was an isolated incident, nobody sustained any real injuries and it will probably never happen again. Thus it should have been swept under the carpet.

If you are a witness and you do nothing about what you have seen you are condoning it , it's as simple as that. These people are dragging the name of our club into the gutter, I take me hat off to the people who passed their evidence over to the police, you are the true spirit of Blackburn Rovers not the drunken d---heads.

"The majority of the fans at the match behaved impeccably but a small number of Blackburn Rovers supporters became involved in what is believed to be a fight.

No sh!t Sherlock.

If it's taken them 3 weeks to establish that they believe that much, they'll have this one solved in the blink of an eye.

I don't want to be associated with those idiots either, but asking for info 3 weeks on smacks of incompetence, when the away section was monitored with cameras, and the incident was watched by the police who were at the game and by 1100 other away fans.

And what can they do if anyone does get positively IDd? Extradite them back to Germany for trial?

The only thing I can think of is that the person who got the smacking has taken the matter up - but given people think the whole thing was to settle a local argument then that's unlikely.

I'd love to have seen the same people kick off in Krakow! They would have had the crap kicked out of em big time with those security guys. It's not often I feel intimidated but those Polish guys were something else.

I would suspect that the police have over the last 3 weeks been building up evidence and are now after the final pieces of additional evidence before bringing charges.

The culprits will if found guilty be given banning orders, preventing them from travelling in future and from attending matches.

Given the speed and brain power of the average plod I'm confident that these supporters will have switched their allegiance to Lancashire Utd before they're in court....

As at least one of the posters on here was involved in the fighting, I should think they'd want it covered up.

I personally would like them put away for a very long time. It is worse than happens on a Saturday night because it reflects bdly on the club, and could still result in a ban. All because a bunch of neds got so drunk they decided to fight each other.

SCUM

Stick to your amateur dramatics please.........either that or your beloved sellik

Drink fuelled little big men behaving like a pack. :wstu: It certainly wasn't one on one thats for sure. And before anybody gives me stick for condeming the low lifes and suggesting 'well it's only the drink', just consider that the majority of people in that area would have been on the pop all day and they caused no trouble at all ...... so it cant have been that can it?

No need for evidence or facts, just let Judge Jan and Noddy decide based on heresay on an internet forum.

For the record, I didnt see anybody from this board involved in the incidents, some people obviously think different.

A hand full of lads - drunk - fighting. Yes it was an embarrassment, but that was all. I didnt get punched and neither did anyone I was with. All the people involved wanted to be involved, and it had nothing to do with Rovers.

It had plenty to do with Rovers because they did it at a Rovers match.

I wouldn't care less if they did it in their own space but to follow Rovers and do it in Germany then it DOES reflect on all Rovers fans and the club itself. Whether we like it or not.

Was there any report of it anywhere, as apart from on here I can't recall it being in 'print' or mentioned for that matter.

I had a family of 4 stood behind me and they had to witness the whole thing, I personally don't feel that is acceptable. I know the majority behaved but the fight that broke out left a bad taste in the mouth. I, like ste, didn't see any mb members involved.

Got to agree with Drog, it's not acceptable behaviour and not behaviour most Rovers fans would want associated with our european trips.

Don't think the stewards or police helped by letting it carry on for as long as it did.

The latter stage of it that I witnessed looked to be involving just 2 individuals from where i was standing, with one or two trying to split it up, saying that I didn't witness the first bit of it, just the end. I happened to be in the toilet when it started and as I came out a number of Rovers stewards were asking German security for assistance, one of the Germans laughed and said " Your fans your problem".

The most intimate "quick frisk" Ive had in ages.

Note - Ive actually been rung by the police in relation to an incident I mentioned on here in the past. Entirely unsolicited!

Definitely didn't look one on one from what I saw, and if you call trying to split it up running down three rows to throw punches trying to split it up then remind me never to get in a fight when your around. It may well have been a local dispute and could have been something and nothing but some scumbags couldn't wait to get stuck in.

These are the kind of fans we don't want tainting the rest of us and ruining our good name.

I was right next to that one and grabbed one of their specs off the floor before they got smashed (I won't bother in future). No idea what started it (I'm guessing it was a couple of twonks from the factions scrapping earlier).

German plod hauled one of them off eventually.

I don't want to see a ruckus at Rovers games, home or abroad, but do think some of the reaction on here is completely OTT. Worse things happen, people!
