Yeah well it's not up to you so why don't you stop going on and on about it? You've made your point at least a dozen times so why don't you leave it?

If Jan winds you up then ignore her.

i never asked you to get involved did i Mr serious, i only mentioned it because she went to watch Celtic the other day as well as the Rovers, which i don't have a problem with.

if you really want you can put me on ignore, then you won't need to see my post's will u

Chelsea have not had to leave London yet in the competition have they? Why would the FA want to change that now. It will be Emirates. It WILL be what ever is best for Chelsea, or Spurs god forbid say the FA.

Villa Park on a sunny Saturday really would feel like the semi final I dreamt of Rovers being involved in since I was a kid.

Me too Mike at P.

I used to watch M.o.T.D, jealous of all the lucky buggers watching THEIR team at Villa Park & Hillsborough and knowing deep down, it would probably never happen to me.

That's a vivid imagination you've got Paul. Cardiff will have been paid good money to hold the millennium stadium for the Cup Final, that was their sweetener. We won't be going to Cardiff i'm confident of that.

I'm just preparing myself for what I don't want to happen.

Tris I expected better understanding from you.

That's not the point - using Cardiff again is going backtrack on the competition and what they say they are trying to do and put it back to the fans - IMO and the way others have posted would suggest its takes the glamour and tradition away. Its already been spoilt with the different K/O times and days instead of being on the same day and time.

As mentioned after the last debacle at CARDIFF , no mater what a great place it is it did not feel like a Semi Final and would appear to have been the same for alot of our dwindling fans.

For me this is the crucial point, it didn't feel like a semi-final. All my football watching life I've enviously seen the hordes packed into a neutral, league ground for a semi. It just looks, feels and sounds so special. OT would be OK but I think Villa Park is the one for us. Imagine what a fantastic day, the Holt packed with Rovers, blue and white everywhere...this is the last chance for me, for a real FA Cup semi-final, a real tradition. It's one for the collection and I so hope we end up at Villa Park and not OT, The Emirates or Cardiff.

I've seen Rovers there a few times and it's good. I happened to spend two years living in Birmingham (80-82) and watched Villa win the league and the European Cup from the Holte with two long-standing Villa supporting friends. Had some good nights even if it was their team. To watch Rovers win a semi at Villa park and go on to to win at Wembley would complete my Rovers collection.

Spot on. It has been one of my ambitions to see the Rovers in a semi-final.

When it did finally happen, Cardiff was one place that was wrong.

I remember watching them in the eighties and nineties, Villa Park, Hillsborough, Old Trafford, Elland Rd, Maine Rd.

Packed to the rafters, brilliant atmospheres.

This time it has to be at OT or Villa.

If not, yet again the FA will have ruined what should be a special day.

:rover: the venues have been decided see my above post, they cannot wait to see who wins the replays :brfc:

Just booked train tickets to London and accomodation for the Saturday night in London....gonna be an expecsive weekend.

If your nephew has told you that and he works for the FA than it must be correct.

This is becoming a right saga now. I went in my local at teatime and the landlord was saying he'd heard it was 'more than likely' OT from someone at the LET. I doubt they'd know anyway.

One interesting thing in the highly highly dubious Mirror report is that is might be announced tommorow.

Anyway I've just booked a cancelable Travel Inn at Birmingham for the 14th April. As it's flexible rate nothing to lose even if it's not there.

Sorry, if its already been booked they arent going to change are they.

What you do is boycott the game and make sure that the Press know exactly why.

Yes, a much better way, which really WILL make them change their minds. It will also leave us with even less support and make it less likely we'll win.

where as you giving them the money for you seats, but having a little moan will really change their minds wont it?

Oh wait, no it wont BECAUSE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY hit them in the pocket or it wont make a blind bit of difference as they can ignore a petition, they cant ignore the bottom line

And, as mentioned previously, we will have less support and less chance of making our first cup final in 47 years.

As usual, Flopsy, I will be completely ignoring what you say and hope that everyone else will do the same. Similarly, as usual, you are talking @#/?.

you are too kind ;)

However if you are upset about a match in London, teh only way you could possibly make an impact that they would take any note of is not to give the FA anymoney. Complain and go, they have won.

Me I think its a poor show, but its the FA cup semi final, I cant go whether its in Brum, Manchester, Cardif or London.

but those who complain bitterly and then go, well the FA will ignore any complaints you have because they know you'll follow your team what ever @#/? they throw at you. Who's the silly ones?
