Pugg Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Ok should I rephrase it to non internationals are having a holiday hehe. I thought it was obvious what I meant but I must remember to get my sentences correct
Tris Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Waggy is saying that the semi is definatly at the Emirates as his nephew works for the FA. Travel and Accomodation booked. I'll give you a lift back up the M1 ...
Alan75 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Waggy is saying that the semi is definatly at the Emirates as his nephew works for the FA. Travel and Accomodation booked. Do you believe everything that comes out of the FA. ?
unsall Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Waggy is saying that the semi is definatly at the Emirates as his nephew works for the FA. Travel and Accomodation booked. Don't be to hasty we are playing at old trafford according to some very good info.........
Manchester Blue Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Blackburn police have been told the semi will be at old trafford but sat/sun has not yet been decided. My Dad said the very same yesterday. A Blackburn copper he knows said the FA wants it to be at OT. The only reason I can think of for delay is if United get knocked out and then it would probably Boro/Watford at OT and us at Villa Park. Can't tell if Jordan is being very clever and on a wind up or very stupid!!!
modes98 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Can't tell if Jordan is being very clever or very stupid!!! You can't be the first person to wander that Oo Tris is handing out free lifts
Roost Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Waggy is saying that the semi is definatly at the Emirates as his nephew works for the FA. Travel and Accomodation booked. Reminds me of an album I used to have by Prefab Sprout called - Jordan The Comeback
RovertheHill Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Been told by a guy who does event security in Manchester that we'll be at Old Trafford on the 15th. No idea how accurate that is... He's adamant they've been told as they're doing the security - when do we officially find out?
Tris Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 You can't be the first person to wander that Oo Tris is handing out free lifts If we get to the final he'll be handing out free beer, in a west London party situation ...
ace Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 So a careful reading of these posts reveals that the semi -final will DEFINITELY ( please note spelling dear readers!) be at The Emirates or Villa Park or Old Trafford!
CAPT KAYOS Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 The final should be at Wembley. Yesterday there was an "event" for 40,000 people in the stadium, next Saturday 60,000 will be at the England U-21. These events are part of Wembley being issued with a safety certificate in time for the Cup Final. Hopefully the lifts etc will be working by then. Don't know if people realise or not ( think somebody dropped it in once) there is no car parking on match days

Exactly my thinking - and the reason they haven't announced it is that our game will be on the Sunday again if UTD get knocked out - VP - because big club at home on the Saturday.

If Spurs win tonight they also play on the Thursday night in the UEFA Cup. Arent City at home on the Saturday as well?
cn174 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 If Spurs win tonight they also play on the Thursday night in the UEFA Cup. Arent City at home on the Saturday as well? Yup they are
CAPT KAYOS Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 If Spurs win tonight they also play on the Thursday night in the UEFA Cup. Arent City at home on the Saturday as well? Which will be moved to the Sunday no doubt I presume -but Citeh might kick up a fuss as they are due to play Arsenal on the following Tuesday as well. Incidentally - Chelski and MU are due to be playing each other that weekend as well.
ewoodblue Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Doubt it'll bother him as they are out I know Arsenal are out, mate, and guess who it was that knocked them out. .We are good, aren't we.. We will find out who our next opponents are tonight.Spurs v Chelsea live on the BBC( I think). The 'Boro v Manc game is definitley on sky. I still think that Rovers best performance in the cup,so far,was the 0-0 draw at the Emirates, the win at Ewood was just icing on the cake.
Manchester Blue Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Strangely enough that link doesn't work. Maybe it contained the information confirming the game at the Emirates so the FA have pulled it!!!

Ste B Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 i think it's more the mods being childish I think its more somebodys incompetance in putting a post together
Ricky Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Speaking of FA Cup semi finals. Did the ladies play their game yesterday??? Cant find any reference to it anywhere.
rover_groo Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Speaking of FA Cup semi finals. Did the ladies play their game yesterday??? Cant find any reference to it anywhere. Lost 1-0 to Charlton. Defensively a poor goal to concede.
roversmum Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Yes. I was there. Rather bracing afternoon up on the hills in Accy. The first half was poor, both teams were nervous but I think Rovers had the edge. We fully expected them to be able to take advantage of the heavy wind in the second half. Both teams came out charged up for the second half, Rovers missed several good chances (where have I heard that before?) and Charlton ended up winning by one goal. The Charlton Ladies were more (shall we say) muscular and obviously more experienced but we have one or two good pacy players who gave them a game. Rovers 0 - 1 Charlton. some pics here (follow link)
