SouthAussieRover Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Well,I'll be heading to the Emirates. Waggy said it would be there.
Dan Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Do you lot reckon we'll sell our allocation out? If we get 30,000 it is entirely possible we could sell out, though you just never know. A semi final that is very near by for the supporters that live in Blackburn and surrounding areas. It's a semi final and 90 minutes away from a cup final, one of the biggest games in that last 12 years surely? If I hadn't been to a Rovers game in years I'd still want to go to this game. O.k. the prices are quite high compared to Ewood tickets, but it's a semi final!

Blackburn Rovers v Chelsea Live on Sky Sports 4pm, Sunday 15 April 2007 at Old Trafford http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/New...p_SemiDates.htm Good that it's on Sky. If it was on terrestrial tv there would be plenty who'd take the option of a few tinnies and an armchair.
Timmy Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Pleased it's OT, saves the track down to brum-just a pitty it's on the Sunday, would have perferred saturday
Timmy Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Pleased it's OT, saves the track down to brum-just a pitty it's on the Sunday, would have perferred saturday Whats our allocation likley to be 30,000-35,000?
b12_simon Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 What's OT like for parking? I've heard it's £8 for the official car parks else "fiver to watch yer caaar mistah" from the local chavs. The train (and therefore the pub) is looking tempting...
modes98 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 one of the biggest games in that last 12 years surely? Well i reckon about as big as the Arsenal Semi Final in Cardiff Slightly less than the Worthy Cup final maybe? Open to debate that one, still a cup is a cup.
SuperStella Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 United steward reckons we've got the Stretford End http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2133796846
Exiled_Rover Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 We flash Northern gits will be snapping up those 55 quid tickets. Whose going in a stretch limo? Those £25 tickets will be a restricted view - unless you're bringing a telescope.
stuwilky Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Those £25 tickets will be a restricted view - unless you're bringing a telescope. http://www.thefa.com/NR/rdonlyres/975A16C0...T_PricePlan.gif Cant see ours being much different 0- other than the new quadrants....

Last train back fom m/cr vic to to c/roe via Bolton, Darwen and B/bn is 9pm. If you miss that there's one at 4am! Would imagine trains run through the night to Brum.

GiddyGoat Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I cant believe this. An FA Cup semi, 30 miles away, an ticket allocation twice the size of some of our recent home gates, this is going to be fantastic

Manchester Blue Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 United steward reckons we've got the Stretford End http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2133796846 That link says East stand, Stretford End is West Stand, we'll presumably have the old K stand. It's the stand we were in for the league cup semi finals. Looking at the prices i've sat in the £35 ones at both ends and they were decent views and obviously the £45 corner ones are our usual spots. To be honest any apart from North stand tier 3 are decent view.
Scotty Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 That link says East stand, Stretford End is West Stand, we'll presumably have the old K stand. No it doesn't. The steward reckons we've got the Stretford End.
mike at picture Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 There's one at 10pm as well. I'm going to try to persuade my 30 something/40 something mates to get on a 11am train and have a few scoops in the City getting the 9/10 pm train home. Not holding my breath but it sounds like a good day out for the less conservative Rover!
Manchester Blue Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 No it doesn't. The steward reckons we've got the Stretford End. Oops my bad only skim read it, anyway get some work done you.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Do you lot reckon we'll sell our allocation out? Quite a few lads at work are Mancs and have said in no uncertain terms that if they can get hold of tickets they'll be roaring Rovers on for the day....with the tie being played in the North West you just might be a liitle surprised at the ground swell of support for Rovers on the day.

I've heard it's £8 for the official car parks else "fiver to watch yer caaar mistah" from the local chavs. The train (and therefore the pub) is looking tempting... For people that don't know the area i've always recommended the Lowry for parking, it was a fiver last I check and perfect location for getting away. However I was down there last year after it was murder for getting away presumably cos of the large numbers using it as opposed to a normal match day. Train probably best and a few beers.

However I was down there last year after it was murder for getting away presumably cos of the large numbers using it as opposed to a normal match day. Train probably best and a few beers. If you want to drive I've always found parking at Ladywell Metrolink station (just off the M602) for free and taking the tram to Exchange Quay (£1.30 return) to be best. You can usually get on the first tram back as it's going out of the city. Once back at the car you're on the motorway in 2 minutes.
mike at picture Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Do you lot reckon we'll sell our allocation out? A poster on Official mb reckons Chelsea have been allocated 26,000. Dosn't say where he/she got that from. Irish Rovers on there debating travel/accomodation, God bless 'em.
